Proposal: Continental Border

I like Kurts idea but I also say the Fovazh region should belong to the west.

I agree with Carl. The Fovazh must be on the same continent, aka Western Althena.

I think it should more follow geographic borders, like continental boundaries in real life do. Plus it is strange having the two arms unconnected being considered a region. Thus I have developed my own proposal that insures that the regions are contiguous and follow logical geographic boundaries.



We could also completely rename the eastern portion and leave the west Althena rather than give the East/West label to them, that would make more sense to me as Althena as it is now is massive.

I like it, but Malo would like to be part of the East because it's the Asia of Adonia

Oh, if anybody has any good names for "East Althena," please propose them.

PS: Perhaps this might be stretching it a bit too much, but maybe Fovazh (the southern wing of West Althena) should also be considered a seperate continent?

Yes. The southern arm I hope you mean.

I thought of making Fovazh a seperate continent, because in real-life the Mediterranean Sea is bounded by three continents (Europe, Africa, and Asia), and having the Alcadean Sea (which is our Mediterranean) be in the same position would solve the problem of having West Althena essentially split in two.

I think that West Althenea in all other proposals is a sizeable enough continent, I don't think we should split it in two, Spain's still Part of Europe aint it? Besides I consider Neridia our Africa...

My proposal(s), using the Adonian Sattellite Map and the Adonian Political Map v.10:





The first one is along geographic lines (desert boundaries, mountain ranges, etc), while the second one is along cultural and political lines.

Two Europes I'm cool with it.

I like Jon's proposal too, but I still don't like the idea of Malo, Forgia, and Zebtesia being in West Althena at all.

I don't know why, Azerbaijani culture is not necessarily congruous with the rest of Europe, cultural boundaries are subsidiary to geographic boundaries for continental borders in my opinion. In real life the Ural and Caucasus Mountains separate Asia and Europe.

Not that we can't have cultural borders, I just prefer geographic ones.

Another thought could be a diagonal northwest/southeast border using those gigantic mountains and the deserts as the divide. I could drum up a proposal if anyone is interested.
