Time to make the court useful Razz

The Sanese Delegation of the United Sovereign Nations of the World would like to propose a case against the Unified States of Bergenstein due to violations to the charter of the United Sovereign Nations.

The following parts if the charter were not exercised in Bergenstein: 1-1.1, 1-1.3, 1-1.4, 1-1.5, 1-1.6 and 1-1.10.

The nation also committed the following acts prohibited by the charter:
1. Inhumane, painful, or degrading punishment (execution orders to innocent people, mainly the modernist movement members)
4. Any form of the death penalty, excluding lethal injection. In the protection of sovereignty, only domestic courts may lay down this punishment. (death by guillotine or by firearms is STRICTLY prohibited.

While the events took place on Meinsberg, it is the responsibility of the national government (mainly the government of Bergenstein and the council of low monarchs under the High King Gotenburg) to stop it but as of yet, no action has been taken.

The following nations/organizations support this case:
Okaiken
Shayden
Sinope
Insulo
Kaskaskia
Grand, Beluterra and Malo
Brüllen Federation
Association of LARP players
International Action Group
The Organization of Modern Brullenic States

I doubt the accused can come forward to defend themselves while in the midst of a civil and international war. Razz

Sinope supports this case proposal and would like to comment that Bergenstein is an irresponsible state that put shame on the USNW.

Kenny. Razz

Also, per one of the amendments to the charter, inert gas asphyxiation's also a legal method, but still - the executions were all guillotinings and shootings, so illegal.

The IFK supports this case.

It was the government of one state that decided this, Miensburg, so it is the new Government of Miensburg that should be brought to trial not the Bergenstein Central Government

Carl

It is the responsibility of the national government to stop it.

Kenny is on-leave.  We need an active judge or this will never happen. Razz As we know, Acadia dabbled in execution during the Fraesian War, so:

Acadia will remain neutral in this case.

Valessia supports this case.

If the executions were not...executed by the government of Bergenstein then the government of Bergenstein should not be tried. Razz One central government of Bergenstein doesn't even seem to exist.  Therefore, an investigation must be conducted to find out who is responsible for these executions.

I can answer that one - it is the people responsible for the Miensburg coup d'etat. Razz

So who is in charge of Miensburg?

Daniel

Daniel

The military and royal guard, I'm guessing.

So do they have like a leader or something? Razz We need to find out who exactly is responsible.

Valessia would like to see to it that corporations are not involved in this case, as the Berg governments are not companies and should not be treated as such.

Officially the new margrave is in control but the system of advisors and other high up rich people may be controlling the strings

Daniel

Daniel

The "new margrave" is 14 years old, and is more interested in computer games than politics. Others pulling the strings sounds 'bout right. Razz
