The Low King of Berge, the reigning monarch of the state of Berge in northeast Bergenstein near the Breullen border announced that "....the state of Berge would lift itself out of the dark ages even if it had to do it itself....." and that "...the forces of the coalition could expect full cooperation from the Bergan Armed Forces and the local police to work together to finally reach a state of stability...." This news of the cooperation is a sign that the people of Bergenstein are getting fed up with the traditionalist rule and even the aristocracy is. The state of Berge has experienced some of the worst of the recent violence however evidence suggests that the violent gangs actually originate from the southern states including Miensburg and Mantindor especially. There has not up to yet bee any evidence that the area may be leaning towards Breullan annexation but this clear defiance from the chancellery may be sign of things starting to turn.

United Berg Industries the leading tank manufacturer in Bergenstein has announced it has turned down a request by the Bergenstein Government to purchase the new tank that was recently released earlier this month. A spokesman for the company said, "we are a company which is hounest and sells to make profits, the Chancellor himself asked to receive 100 tanks for a pathetic price, he claimed that it was patriotic duty, we turned down him and told him that to purchase our goods he must pay. In normal circumstances we would now be exiling ourselves however as we currently own the best weapon in all of Bergenstein we feel safe. We have begun to make profits off our new tank and we expect number of new orders for the tank soon, our company does not need such robbery.

Violence has continued across northern Bergenstein, in the last week alone 8 coalition soldier have died, 5 Mervian soldiers in western Emmenland were shot while on patrol, their ATF Dingo was then stolen and has not yet been found, earlier in the week a bomb went off inside an undisclosed Sinopian base around the Wardrecht area. The bomb was planted in an army truck which was obliterated in the blast. 3 men were killed and a further 8 were injured. [CENSORED] said "[CENSORED] was a good soldier and had one of the best track records, h was also well decorated, such a shame he had to go this way.

It is rumoured but not yet confirmed that in the northern parts of Etrusque where a rigorous propaganda campaign has started to work with possible small scale disruptions, this is unconfirmed however as the flow of information is slow, we will bring you more when more in clear.

The number of insurgency attacks has drastically fallen for the Coalition forces with only 4 people dying this last week, this is due to a major shift in the target for thee attacks. Last week the state of Berge denounced the proceedings of the Weiz party. Following this the attacks have been aimed upon the Bergan military and their leadership. In response to this the state of Berge has been locked down by the state government preventing travel in and out of the state except to Brullen.

The Low King threatened that he would officially declare either independence or accepting the rule of the Brullan Federation. The Chancellor of the Bergenstein threatened that he would launch an invasion of the territory if the state did not stop it's "childish behaviour" We here at BERGENSTEIN NEWS will let you decide who is the childish one. It has also been rumoured though that United Berg Industries has leased 40 of the new D95 tanks to the Berge government but this has little evidence to prove this.

Is Bergenstein planning a full scale and well organised war against the Coalition. We believe so, and why do we think this. Our operatives have spotted around 20 Fenwick AL402 2 tanks produced by Western Indistrial Defence Group however it is impossible to have directly come from Kuyrut due to trade embargos. There has also been a sighting of a Myer-Holzer SA 102 from the same company, we know little however about the number involved. If berg is rearming does it not show that they may infact be preparing for war, we know that the Chancellor has 'invested' in a number of organised crime gangs as a new source of income for berg plus increased activity in the Atlas Mountains with more sightings of ALR Piranha than usual. Could the Chancellor really think that a war against the Coalition would actually work. Is he that deranged.
