One Last (and only) Hoorah!
So I completely botched being featured. Woopee! All I did was news text updates! But fear not! For I have gotten myself back into playing Simcity4 and have amassed results of my efforts. I've recently made it my duty to fill out a small region of four large tiles. A little pet project. It's all suburban styled, nothing big city about this. Whenever I attempt a big city my brain turns to molten mush and I Rage Quit. But I still have at least something to show off.
This post though is just a teensy teaser of the finished product. I have yet to finish the region, but I'm close!
The region itself.
FUN FACT: I was going to use this region to build the capital city of my attempted second USNW nation, where I tried to carve a Republic out of Birani and it's surrounding states. Ditched the country, kept the region. Now instead of a big city as originally planned, this will have suburban developments surrounded by farmland, with a ring of Rail networks. I'm not going to spend countless hours getting RHW through there.
I linked this in the skype room when Kurt, Kenneh, and Jon were in there, but here it is again! One of my specialties I'd like to say. A shopping center filled to the brim with Custom content personally made by moi. Oh, and an Office Depot there cause yeah, filler. That shopping center's actually in the center of a giant 3-way Rail interchange. Had to make use of the space.
The shopping center is in the bottom right corner city tile. Next time, when I update I'll have the whole region done and I'll show off images from all three developed tiles. (All four, if I decide to make anything note worthy in the last tile...and even then you guys have already seen the first tile in a previous update, so maybe just the other two tiles then.)

The battle of Hinali rages on. Fire and smoke and metal take over the city streets. Towers crumble and fall. Skies above filled with the screams of jets. There is no peace here.

Hinali's on it's last legs simcity-wise. There's not much else I can do with the tile now that it has prop pox and has been saved over so many times. So here's a few pretties I took of the tile when I was on.
I wanted to make the waterfront similar to Manhattan. Gleaming towers right along the shore.
Then it gets dreary over at the Capital building. Dunno why people are enjoying the plazas, being soaked and all. Silly simcity.
And then a night time overview of the tile. I turned up the contrast to make it truly look like night. Comparing this city to Follomer's capital, I think I prefer Follomer's more. Oh well, maybe there'll be another city in the future.

I don't want to just be showing vanilla screens. Like what is this, my first days in the CJ world? I have to touch up what I choose to keep. Not one of my images is unedited. Simcity may be nice but it isn't pretty enough. Nor stable...

Feyre. Named cause I named an island on the world map that and it just came to me and I like it, so, this is Feyre. Not the island, but a town called Feyre. It's Feyre. Like "fair", but Feyre. Yeah you get it. Weird strip of land isn't it.
The sun's setting. I toyed with giving the images an orange haze to simulate Dusk. I also tried to make more rural settings with the mayor mode plops I had. I'm sure there's so much more I could do and more to download. But look, cows!
I had a short stint as a Custom Content creator. I have I believe nine BATs on the STEX. These are two of them. One acts as a Library, while the other is a Police Station. Those were modeled after real life buildings.
Playing with those MMPs some more. I love the little scenes you can make. What kind of stories can you come up with that describe this image?
