OKAIKEN NETIZENS 'FURIOUS' OVER ONE SWORD
Wants Bergen Royal Family to be beheaded using it
OKASHI (NIKKAN) - Okaiken netizens are buzzing over a trending topic at Chirp: A gold decorated sword known as "Masamune no wakizashi", Date Masamune's gift to the Bergen kingdom when he travelled to Western Althena with Okaiken's first embassy mission to Batavia. In the recent article by the Nikkan, it was reported that Okaiken wanted the sword back in response to the complete sever of contact between the Sanese People and the Bergen people. However, the Bergen "government" refuse to give the sword back to Okaiken authorities, and that they would even attempt to kill the officials if they seize the sword from the National Museum, where it is heavily protected by guards allegiant to the government.
Now, Okaiken citizens are furious over the refusal of the sword to be returned to Okaiken and that Hongan-ji Temple, the Date family temple in the city of Midokyo, are the rightful owners of the sword. The government's Chirp account was spammed by requests that Okaiken forcibly take the sword and that Honda Matakage, the leader of the Honda clan (and masters of the Date clan during the Oka period)and DPO leader, possess it. It was also suggested that all members of the Bergen Royal family should be executed using the sword, which follows the Bushido code that only a family heirloom can kill the final branch of the family. So far, the Okaiken government is choosing not to respond, but said that it is open to ideas on how to deal with things peacefully and carefully.
