Thanks all! I like doing this not just for myself but for the enjoyment of others also. I did work on Derramo tonight again. Went from +-55000 yesterday to +-89500 inhabitants today. There's now a corridor of the old city center approaching to meet up with the CBD. The city center is taking shape very well and I'll show you a picture tomorrow after I've done a littlebit more work on it.

I've prepared more then I promised for you to see: 2 pictures instead of one! 
Here's an evening view of the Derramo City Hall from the side. To the left a bit of low rise offices, to the right in the distance you can make out a large part of the city center that's already done. Beyond that there's all empty land that needs filling.
This picture is a view of the north part of the small part of the CBD built yet, taken from the roof of the same building as the first picture. I merely turned about 120 degrees. Taken in the early evening. Far off in the distance you might see a highway viaduct, underneath which is an industrial area. Once the land in between is settled you won't be able to see it anymore from here of course.

Those are some shmancy towers! UGH the game has it's appeal, definitely, but did it fix those terrible bugs? Like the ground poking through the roads at certain zoom heights.
I'll probably pick this up when i get a good Desktop.

The ground sticking through the road still happens sometimes, but mostly when it happens you can mend it by destroying the road and laying it again. What seems to be fixed is the bug where foundations of several buildings didn't appear so it looked like they hovered in the air. I had that with a lot of buildings and it was one of two main reasons for giving up CXL months ago.

Here's a picture taken from an oil tanker in the evening. The ship has passed the confluence of the Derra and the Tella and is now going upstream the Tella towards a river harbor a bit further northeast. To the left expensive appartment towers. The eastern bank is largely undeveloped so far.

Here is a picture taken from a highway bridge with a view over two of the four areas on the East Bank that have been developed so far. In the forefront the riverbank itself with fancy apartment buildings. Behind those lies the center of a town gobbled up by and incorporated in Derramo as it grew (like all the neighborhoods in London or on Manhattan). In the distance you can see the highway viaduct including on-and-off-ramps over an industrial area. That lies in what will become Derralagee, a city on itself, but part of the metropolitan area.
