Hello and welcome back after our short outage in news coverage, we have regained permission to broadcast this and resume normal channels afterwards. This applies for all news channels. We first whih to mention that the new High King of Bergenstein will High King Eric I of Bergenstein and will be crowned very shortly.

Next in the news is a major announcement by the Government. Borders with Abbasid are to open up so that citizens may pass between the countries if they have the correct visa. Thousands of people are expected to make the move to make quick money to return it home to their families. Abbasid has announced that it will put a tax ranging from 10 to 20% depending which band people are in on workers new income. Financial Expert Charlie Hilde said "This new advancement shows the increasing relation between our old friends, it also means that Bergenstein will get a new flow of money and the Abbasidi also gain so really in is a win win situation." The Government did attempt to push for a lift on the ban on domestic product trade between the two countries however Abbasid it was not ready to make that move.

Bergenstein has also set up a Economic and Trading Office in the SAR of Abbasid. As an autonomas region of Abbasid Nasser can maintain a certain degree of its own foreign relations. This is hoped that investment between the two regions will increase rapidly. It also shows that Bergenstein isn't hated all over Abbasid. The Office is expected to bring in large sums of money to both Bergenstein and Nasser which is exactly what the Bergenstein Government is currently looking for

To add to this the government has started a radical campaign to encourage new business to Bergenstein by highlighting the comfortable grows however is also mentioned the lower wages Bergen people get paid, Hans Fitte a advisor on income for the government said in a statement today, "we will monitor wages very careful and we pledge that the minimum wage for citizens will raise the same rate as inflation, this guarantees that employed people can live a comfortable life.

The Bergenstein Export market also picked up after a number of new export contracts that have been made with overseas buyers. Bergensteins old earner beer was the leading product this last week seeing multiple new contracts with major exporting opportunities. The generally lower price of Bergen goods is said to be the driving force for this growth.

Even with all of that Shayden sees Bergenstein as a radical and weak nation. Really need to try to modernize them. Dx

Since when is Abbasid have a border with Berg?

I was actually wondering about that. Maybe they come over in planes, like guest workers that went from Turkey and Morocco and earlier from southern Italy to the Netherlands and Belgium and Germany to work in the mines etc,..?

New Legislation - The Chancellor passed a new legislation in the Bergenstein Parliament today announcing the creation of a Federal Army of Bergenstein. Bergenstein has already got a Combined Armed Forces which officially numbers 20,000 in accordance with Braavos treaty, for the new Federal Army to be legal the old forces would have to be disbanded. However as part of the legislation it declares the separate armies of the states as private armies and totally unlinked to the official Bergenstein leadership. The legislation technically makes private armies entirely legal however the ‘Organisation of persons against the nation is still illegal. This confines the ‘private armies’ to those that are aligned with the Government effectively creating a much larger Bergen Military.


The Legislation exclaims that the Private armies do not constitute as a military nor a para-military as they are officially unrelated to the Bergen Government. This means that they are entirely legal in accordance to the treaty of Braavos. The members of the Coalition have yet to comment on the issue though they are expected to react in a rather negative fashion. To add to this there has been multiple rumours the Bruellen neighbour is planning something though these rumours have not been confirmed.


Questions have also got to be asked on where the Bergenstein government has got the money required for this. In a country where the Parliament can’t even afford real coffee in meetings and uses instant coffee instead where the money for an additional 20,000 troops. Some have said that the money was granted be a number of illegal organisations but again nothing is confirmed.


Breaking News - The new king, High King Eric I of Bergenstein has just sent an official note to the Parliament asking that the Chancellor recall the last legislation and that the reorganisation of the military stays well within the Braavos limits. He also said that the country needed money spent on important matters not the unnecessary size of a military. The disagreement with the Parliament in an all time new for bergenstein after the creation of a more powerful elected government

Other News - The Abbasidi Embassy in Verwaltungstadt today has reopened and the Bergen Embassy in Rasheed has been reopened and the staff that were originally put under arrest due to fears that they had committed crimes that turned out to be false have been released and will be flying home Sunday night. Abbasid has apologised for the unnecessary detainment however justified their movements as they were in a prime position to commit crimes. The new staff are already in place.

Abbasid has no official standing on this situation at the moment, and we will refrain from making any further comments until this issue is brought to the attention of the Coalition.

Kupore and Ami would like to stress that though technically this legislation might be in accordance with the Braavos Treaty, it is hardly imaginable that the Coalition will see this in a good way. Kupore and Ami supports the new Bergenstein king in his bid to stop this legislation from being enacted. Further destabilisation of the region must be avoided so that economic redevolopment may begin.
