Chancellor Dehya Moen released a statement from the Capital's press conference room officially stating her desire to remove herself from office. The gathered press at the conference were shocked at the announcement and subsequently ambushed the Chancellor with questions. Chancellor moen only has one thing to say before exiting the podium.
"Even though the nation may have been ready for me, the world was not. As an internationally reaching nation of people, I have failed my duties, and thus will be resigning. I am sorry."
As the nation mourns the loss of a prospective new face in Follandan Government, political analysts don't deny the approval international powers will show of this move, given the harsh criticism of Chancellor Moen's legitimacy. However not all seems to be lost, as several High Councilmen have moved to keep Dehya Moen in the Government as a fellow High Councilwoman. More info to come.

*Folland's GDP rose steadily over the past several months due to the increase in local Natural Resource production. Export of these minerals and fuels to international markets have given an unprecedented boost to Folland's national wealth.
*Nationalism has taken a strong hold on Folland as more and more groups of citizens gain pride in their country. However some are worried that an overabundance of this patriotic feeling will corrupt young minds into thinking Folland can and should do what it wants with the world. However beneficial a feeling of Nationalism can be, many instances of it running amuck have led to War.
*The Bergen States in Althenia have proven to be not only chaotic, but incredibly surprising as all of it's warring sides have banded together loosely into a single entity in order to combat the West Althenian Coalition that has formed in order to intervene in the Bergenstein Civil War. The Coalition, spearheaded by the Republic of Sinope is bent on intervening militarily to instill stability and a new government, but many claim this will just escalate the hostilities as more countries get involved. The Follandan Government has yet to decide to pledge support or not.
