Assassination in Tatra

16 June, 2014, Tarnow, Tatra - After over two weeks, reports of the situation in Tatra were finally publicized. It's been revealed the rebels in Tarnow have stormed the office of the President of Tatra and assassinated him and killed his guards. It has not been revealed about what the military of Tatra has done to deal with the rebels, but the rebels are not yet in full control of the country. The intention of the rebels may be linked to Tatra's isolationism and the human rights abuses in the country. If this is true, this situation shows how unstable Tatra is. The acting President of Tatra, Taras Karnek, has stated he will do "anything to stop the rebels", but his words sound hollow. If the military of Tatra couldn't prevent rebels from assassinating the President of Tatra, perhaps these rebels are not alone in causing discontent in Tatra? The President of the Malinovan Federation, Volodymyr Savchenko, ordered troops to remain cautious in southern Malinova in case the Tatran instability spreads across the border.

Fascist Coup in Tatra

23 June, 2014, Tarnow, Tatra - New reports from Tatra indicate a coup had occurred by the military of Tatra. The rebels who had initiated the armed uprising a few weeks ago are now revealed to be an ultra-nationalistic group cooperating with the Tatran military. This cooperation showed how distanced the leadership of the previous government was from the military it was leading. The first change made by this new fascist government wa a less isolationist economy and government. The people of Tatra are finally getting a clearer view of the outside world and have the ability to move freely outside Tatra, and others into Tatra. The concern the Malinovan government has, however, is that this new fascist government may target the Tatran minority in the Malinovan Federation, and/or otherwise cause tension in the region. The military in the southern Malinovan Federation is still on standby until it's clear this new government can be trusted.

The Malinovan Federation recognizes it as controlling the country, but doesn't recognize it as the legal representative of Tatra.

1 August, 2014, Leviv, The Malinovan Federation - Tatran troops were discovered in southern Leviv Oblast'. They were reportedly conversing with the local Tatran minority, but were wearing Tatran badges and were clearly soldiers of Tatra. At first these were regarded as a hoax, just people supporting Tatra and dressing in clothing supporting Tatra. However, today the Tatran government sent the government of the Malinovan Federation a message stating that formal war has been declared on the Malinovan Federation. Their casus belli? Tatra claims "the Tatran minority in the southern part of the Malinovan Federation is being oppressed by the Malinovan state" and that Tatra is trying to save these people and liberate them from the "oppressive Malinovan Federation". They clearly miss the fact that all people under the rule of the Malinovan Federation are treated equally as garaunteed by the Malinovan Constitution, and that any oppression of the Tatran people is not supported by the Malinovan government and any signs of oppression are nonexistant. As Tatra is a small state not requiring much resistance, the Malinovan Armed Forces are not mobilizing its troops as of yet, but simply guarding the Tatran / Malinovan border. No other military action by Tatra has been reported. The President of the Malinovan Federation has regarded the formal declaration of war to be "pointless rhetoric by the fascist government controlling the Tatran Republic".
