The Malinovan Star is the most widely read newspaper in the Malinovan Federation. It is printed in the Malinovan language, but Lechian, Relastovan and Trentannian versions are available. The first edition of the paper was published as the Kalinogorod Times on June 17, 1881 in Kalinogorod, where it continues to be printed to this day. In 1935, the newspaper became the national newspaper for Malinova in the Relastovan Empire, and was renamed the Malinovan Star. Foreign critics see the newspaper as unbiased and a reliable source for news going on in, or involving, the Malinovan Federation.

Armed Rebellion in Tatra

May 30, 2014, Tarnow, Tatra - Today, an unknown group of armed insurgents stormed a government building in Tarnow, Tatra. According to local reports, a group of around three hundred armed rebels stormed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Bratislava, the capital of Tatra. Witnesses report seeing masked men dressed in "improvised military uniforms" running toward the building, and reported gunshots. Within an hour the gunfire stopped and the building was occupied by the insurgents. After around an hour, Tatran soldiers armed with tanks arrived to the building and a fight ensued. The armed insurgents were supplied with grenades, AK-47s and, reportedly, rocket launchers. The battle ended with the insurgents winning, and the Tatrans losing three tanks, two reportedly still functional, and 30 soldiers. Around 50 were taken hostage inside the occupied building and immediately the insurgents then set up barricades blocking the roads nearby. In a speech by the Tatran president, Vyachislav Pulawski openly blamed the Malinovan Federation for "funding terrorist groups meant to disrupt" Tatra, and that "Malinova will pay" for these actions. When asked what he will do about the situation, he claimed he's sending more troops to "handle the rebels". In response, the Malinovan Federation denied the claims of any involvement. When proposing to send aid to handle the rebels, Tatra refused. As of now, the purpose and aim of these terrorist groups in unclear.

The Malinovan Federation and the Bergen Wars

May 30, 2014, Kalinogorod, The Malinovan Federation - On an announcement by Premier Oleksandr Yarkochenko forwarded by Ambassador to the United Sovereign Nations of the World (USNW), Volodymyr Savchenko, to the USNW, the Premier suggested two plans for solving the situation in Bergenstein. The first suggestion was sending more troops to the war-torn nation and set up occupational governments to impose order, while the second was to withdraw completely from the country and "let the situation right itself". He also invited USNW leaders to a conference discussing the solution to the situation in Kalinogorod on June 7-9, 2014.

A motley group with guns out-fights a trained military force yet again it seems.

Now what could be happening here.

Yeah, wasn't that the nation that had journal updates titled Slovakia and used Slovakia's flag. So, it's really not surprising to see the capital's name suffered from a distasteful lack of originality as well.

I'm simply taking the information that was already there. Agunter, it was Slovakian and was by the same member who had Morsco.

Yes, I can always get it a better name. Wink However, it seems Slovakian is in a different area now, so the issue of Tatra's culture has arisen. I can make it a mix of Adonian Ukrainian, Byelorussian and some Russian, I guess. Razz It would make their claims more realistic.

Silesian would make sense if it was ruled by some German state or something. It's location between Ukrainian, Polish and Byelorussian with Russian influences wouldn't make sense if it were Silesian.

How can Valisco, a country COMPLETELY separated from the East Slavic nations be Rusyn? I'm keeping it Lemko/Rusyn.
