The IFK is intervening, and so is Abbasid, sort of.

Why not just blockade the entire country? The navy pretty much is in shambles and split, unless Mr. Agunter godmods us and claims that he still has a formidable navy that even has the guts to intercept the IFK's ships.

Intervening would be illegal.  And Acadia doesn't even know the word "Bergenstein".

Intervening would be for the sake of Humanity and the lives of the civilians caught up in all this. There's a moment where you look at this and go, oh, it's a conflict, and there's a moment where you look at it and go "OH $censored$ DIS BE CHAOS!".

Bergenstein News

 A news helicopter working for Current World was mistakenly shot down by some person on the ground with a missile launcher. Nobody knows the person who did it but it is presumed that the shooter mistook it for an enemy aircraft. All the crew were killed.

As the Bergenstein government is one of 3 that have recognised the independence of Esdaad from day one Esdaad has promised to send support to the Traditionalists in Bergenstein. In return the Traditionalists have promised to help Esdaad in all ways possible to help secure their future. The troops that will be entering Bergenstein apart from the Esdaad uniform will be equipped by Bergenstein.

On top of this a mass grave has been found by the Modernist army no further information has been given

The Abbasidi Army has yet to invade but may have set off. The information is not available at the moment.

Esdaad is run by terrorists.  Why would any government support or even recognize it? That is a bad move for relations with the civilized world.

I still believe Althena needs to create a Coalition and intervene in this madness. I don't care if it's "against international law", the law of intervention has already been broken by Grand, Abbasid, and now because of Agunter, Esdaad. (  ) The time for adhering to law is passed, it's time for the continent to help straighten out it's neighbor, by any means, so this chaos can cease.

Right now there's two 2 groups in Althena. 1 of them is WAA, but I haven't seen any movements from that group, and the EAS, which is currently in a divided on how to deal with the war with Bergenstein, plus, we didn't want to deal with a war several thousand miles away.

Acadia doesn't know Bergenstein exists, so they can't do anything. Valessia is far too neutral to do any kind of action whatsoever.

Jon controls Insulo, a major power in the West Althenian sphere. Then there's Chip with Calibria but he's MIA. Doesn't Chip also own Possilipo? I'm sure Trentannia would be able to do something as well.

Despite the civil war we are happy to announce that we will compete in the Usong competition. It has been arranged by the Bergenstein International Image Organisation which is fully neutral in the war. We do certainly hope to win.

However we unfortunately have some much darker news that we must share. It starts with a small convoy of Miet soldiers in a very old ADGZ from GAW and three lorries filled with men. The lorries were old Saurer 2DMs. The troops were moving though enemy territory, but there were no enemy troops, they had retreated days ago. That is why the convoy had the obsolete equipment.
They were approaching a small village which was deserted on appearance but it was soon not to be. The commander in the lead ADGZ car stotted something in a field right next to the village. The convoy drove up to it and what they saw was shocking. There were people layed out in the field. Some men went to investigate and then the true nature of the incident was discovered.
The men who went to investigate found not dead bodies but not moving. Then it hit the men, the victims had been stabbed in the back severing the spinal cord. Each member of the village had been taken out of their homes and Paralysed from the chest down. They had been rendered T4 complete paraplegics. The newly injured had not been able to move.
In all 785 people had been paralysed of which 30 had died in the process. People of all ages and both genders. School children in their uniforms were paralysed, shopkeepers were paralysed. It is one event to never forget. NEVER.
The blame of this has not been officially placed but what little evidence there is it is the Modernists who must fall in the hands of justice. The Modernists have yet to release a statement.

Today at around 10 o'clock this morning modernists troops entered Grand Aescail and opened fire on Aescailian troops stationed at the boarder. The Aescailain troops took cover and raised an Aescailian flag. The commander of the modernists thought it was "a sneaky trick" and continued to suppress fire. The Aescailian soldiers then returned fire. The battle continued for three hours in which time the Aescailian Government sent a message to the Modernist government to halt their attack which the Modernist Government complied to and the order was eventually given to halt fire. In reaction to the event the Aescailian government released this statement.

'Today militants from the war torn nation of Bergenstein have crossed the boarder into our nation and subsequently opened fire on our men. Three of our countrymen have died. This is an official warning to the Modernists that if they dare ever cross into Aescail ever again in an act of war we shall act more decisively.'

Which following this the Modernist Government answered:

'We apologise deeply for this entirely accidental error which we are looking into. The cause of such accident will be found and dealt with. We that Aescail for not taking decisive action and promise it will never happen again.'
