By Stamatia FlorosS.O.Z.B. - Pro-Bruellen supporters in Bergenstein will be happy that they will not have to fend off international pressure because the international community seems to supports its claims over the eastern regions of Bergenstein as they occupy the country with the rest of the Coalition Forces.
Bergensteiners, on their part, have a mountain of problems. The Bergenstein Chancellor, Ludwig Karl Basten Schmittegstein, is expected to be prosecuted by Coalition Forces, though no official arrest warrant has been issued. It is yet to be determined on what grounds Schmittegstein would be arrested for. The now highly traditionalist government is fiercely opposing the Coalition Forces occupation and started to organize retaliation. It has been reported that Bergen military forces had opened fire on Coalition Forces in the north of the country. Schmittegstein has more recently sought to play the unity card with the Bergen population against the "invaders". Obviously, unity between the Modernists and Traditionalists who started the civil war in 2013, is unlikely to happen.
Doge Diogenes has made an unexpected visit incognito in the Sinopian Occupation Zone of Bergenstein, in the North of the country. Visiting Sinopian military installations, meeting military officials and overseeing tactics, the Doge held a press conference in the Küchler Air Force Base. "It is quite sad to make my first official visit in these lands as foreign occupant." declared Diogenes. "But, the intervention was a necessity to reaffirm the rule of law, the respect of human rights and dignity of life of the Bergen people and to restore security in Western Althena."
"I have personally contacted the Chancellor of the United Sovereign Nations, Ms. Elena Witsch de Burgos, and we've discussed about the situation in Bergenstein deeply. She was of course invited as an observant to the next Coalition Forces meeting. We have always hopes for a peaceful resolution of the conflict here in Bergenstein, but that can't be done with a government that violates human rights and treaties by which they are bond to." Concluded the Doge.

There will be an another bloodbath and civil war, and potentially neighboring countries getting attacked by Bergenstein's rogue military agenda.
Apart from the weak government, it appears Bergenstein has even a government-in-exile, following the almost-forced escape of the 'High King' to Abbasid. A Kabier-backed monarchic government-in-exile is expected to be established, trying to find support from other nations, while Doge Diogenes has indicated the return of the monarchy would be "a drastic error, as it has been proven in the past and throughout the whole history of Bergenstein".

"My husband and my kids are in Mullerheim texting me news, because the internet there is barely working. It's apparently a red zone, heavily watched by the Bruellan military." A lot of relatives living in Bruellen have gotten news through cellphones as postal service is not working and the internet can crash at any time due mostly to power shortage. "Apparently it's not that bad, the population is mostly afraid of the extremist militias from the Civil War who prompt the street looking for what they claim are 'traitors', those who help the Coalition Forces with information or simply cooperate by not trying to kill them. And that clown of a Chancellor and government they've got, that Wiez Party thing, they're bloody fascists." Abbing continues.
Etruscan General Aldéric Bordelon speaks less openly about the situation in the south of Bergenstein, where heavy military movements have been made by the Etruscan army to fight insurgents. "One of our plane has been shot down today, while three were heavily damaged. We can't disclose more than that yet, but most civilians are safe for now." He said.
The Etruscan military has been the most damaged by the war, losing the most troops and equipment. Doge Diogenes has stated that more Sinopian troops would come in the south of Bergenstein to help Etrusque in the area. Coalition Forces leaders are expected to meet this week-end in Insulo, as Abbasid has not been invited. The Müllerheim Military Base has been re-taken by Bruellan forces, while relatively important losses have followed.
While the world waits to find out how far the new occupation policy of the Coalition Forces will take them, most major powers not involved the situation are content to focus their attention elsewhere. The outlook for Bergensteiners can only be described as pessimistic, if not hopeless.
