History:

Marqualis was discovered in 1771 by Posillipo explorers looking for trade routes into eastern Althena. As they landed, they were greeted by the native population who took a great interest into these bizarre, new strangers. At first, the explorers were very cautious, but seeing how friendly the natives were, began opening up. During the course of three months, they learned the language and the land and great many things from the natives. Promising to return, the explorers returned home to tell the king of this great series of islands, beautiful and rich. The King ordered settlements to be built right away and sent 30 ships to settle these new lands. They named the islands Marqualis, after the native word which meant Hidden Beauty.

In 1820, nearly 50 years after discovery, Marqualis was booming due to the rich natural resources and its location. There were many settlements and trade routes setup. The natives and the settlers lived in relative peace, even though they were encroaching on their land. Then in 1825, A revolution began to separate from Posillipo due to the unfair wages and taxes being demanded from the Islands. After 5 years of war, Marqualis won its right to self determination and in 1832, the declaration of independence was signed, making Marqualis a free nation.

During the Great Adonia War, Marqualis provided relief and supplies to the allies, not being directly involved in the conflict as the citizens did not want a war. After the war, however, Marqualis felt weak seeing other Nations with much mightier armies being easily able to crush the Nation. In 1950, A rapid increase in military production began to try and match the armies of the world.

Today marks the day that Marqualis wishes to join the USNW!

B, Greek on your COA?
C, Those Islands wouldn't form like that nor look in any way nice
D, Social republic, where did that come about, near the other nearby powers really?

H, History is undetailed doesn't match other countries and doesn't really work

A: Okay, I didn't know that, I did read the Union addressee, but didn't see anything about a restart.
B: Sorry, uploaded the wrong one. Fixed now
c: It is completely possible that they could have broken off mainland Euphemia. I can revert to the old map if no one likes it. For me its perfect since i prefer islands.
D. Social republic is Just another name for Social Democratic, whereby it is a democratic government with socialist type policies (just like Canada)
E. Whats wrong with the Motto?
F. How so? They are almost the same as my old application just a bit more/less. I don't understand how it is unrealistic. Explain please.
G/H. I based off the history of USA kind of. Since Posillipo is i'm guessing modern day united kingdom, then what is wrong with history? Plus i did mention that this was the quick dirty version and i am working on a more detailed and refined one.
I. Yes I know that. It was mentioned several times.

A, It has been discussed on Skype, so you wouldn't have heard
B, ok
C, Ypu can certainly have islands the shape and how they are layed out needs to change, look at other groups of islands for pointers
D, Countries aren't denoted as Socialist unless it is impossible for any other party being voted in apart from the socialists which would be just plainly unrealistic for the region you are in. Have a look at Wikipedia Infoboxes at the Government entry as I think it wil give you a better idea
E, Its a bit naff and unoriginal
F, just because they are the same as your old application does not make them even near the realistic mark, I am not a stats expert, (juls is) but I can clearly see that these are out right unrealistic, Mitropia
G&H, Posillipo doesn't even exist anymore, and it certainly is not similar to the UK, please read up on the history of USNW, also its unrealistic read up on real life ex French colonies and their life as colonies to make this more realistic

I advise waiting for that to be set up and then apply with a new country that suits that planet (this certainly won't

I feel your old location/island shape was better. I understand you like islands, but those are plain unrealistic. Your GDP is too high, and especially is your population. Your history is OK, but even if you did want Adonia's UK to colonize you, it wouldn't give your country a French-styled name, unless it has ties to Adonia's France.
