I absolutely don't think so, Berg wasn't even that powerful (it's a collective of states that could not even agree on stuff), nor it does have have influence with other nations, nor it was that economical to start mercantilism and trade (trust level = 0; who would have traded with that?).

I was only me pointing out that berg could have had a colony, "calm down Mr Mannering" (you won't get that as it is from a true British comedy program) Berg had ships are military so they could occupy land and make it a colony. Full Stop.
