The Ministry of Safety is new. "The Ministry of Safety would involve both military and civilian aspects, and would be intended to assist in the improving of public safety. In its civilian aspect, it would provide inspection teams for various public facilities (such as seaports, tourist resorts, and the like), and - in the case of "special" facilities such as nuclear stations - would check to make sure that they comply with international treaties concerning such installations. In its military aspect, it would inherit the co-management of the Foll orbital space weapon and the management of the United Forces from its predecessor, the Ministry of Defense. The rest of the Ministry of Defense's former jurisdiction would be up to individual states."
