I am not excited due to the online requirement, the limited city size, and not have the ability to edit the entire region. They restrict us to certain tiles.

But it will be interesting to see what some people can do with it.

Lol Hey Bruce, we need to play FIFA some time. I played the beta. I wanted to play more than the hour but it wasn't immensely enjoyable.

I'd give it a 7/10, and I'm not that excited but I'll probably get it. :p

You only get to play a city for one hour but you can play as many one hours as you want.

I'm probably going to start SimCity again when I get my desktop computer. Looking at some nice ones and I already got SC4 on Origin (for free). I'll hang around here a bit too.

EDIT: So, are you guys still on Skype? Just add SounderBruce and I'll be around using imo.im.

It looks really fun but it doesn't have the depth that SC4 has, will there be a BAT for it? If not then it's not going to really work for me, I want hundreds of custom plugins like SC4! There just wont be much self expression possible with it, every city will look really similar and no offence to Cities XL, but it will be just like that. With SC4 I can build an Arabian boom town, an Asian Metropolis, a small European Town and a large American City. Maybe I'm wrong though. I do really want to play it for fun though, just not to express myself in the form of a CJ with it.

^I agree. I like that word, too. It has no depth. I like Simcity 4 because I could plan a city and customize everything the way I wanted. I feel like I would have no control in the new Simcity.

I'd wait a while, SC4 wasn't really mod-able or even that good until Rush Hour came out.

CXL is actually quite modifiable. But people rarely do so idk why not

The creators did say that that would be something they will be adding to the game down the road, easy to modify and add custom content. They would litterally kill the game if they didn't have that. That's why simcity 4 is still so popular.
