FRIDAY: At the last possible moment, the implementation of the DMZ between Acadia and Folland severely affected the Stock Market of Okashi. It dropped more than 1,100 points to become the lowest point the nation had since the 1990s Bubble Economy. Protesters blamed the government's inaction towards Acadia as well as the severe drop of exports to both Folland and Acadia.

SATURDAY: Prime Minister Jobei resigns as Prime Minister and is replaced by Sasuke Gemba, the foreign minister (note the difference with the real Okaiken: Mr. Gemba became the Prime Minister a few months ago), because of the lack of action within the government of Okaiken. Protests ensued and in all major cities in Okaiken, denouncing Acadia's Imperialistic Regime and supporting Folland. Mr. Gemba responds: "We will continue to be neutral and by doing that we'll stay away from pointless deviation towards either nations."

Ooooh, nice! More protests!

(Would it be alright if Grand and/or Belluterra and/or Malo never reunited/united with each other in this alternate universe? I've got a few ideas for my participation, but they would require that first. )

For Immediate Broadcast - Urgent Priority
A KIF attack in the very early hours of the morning today on Belleville defeated all non-military security forces in the capital and captured a number of government buildings and politicians. It quickly became evident that the military had sided with the KIF and was actively assisting them in the operation. At 4:54PM the President, who was in hiding, announced that the government was surrendering to a combined Military and KIF coup. At 7:16PM, just minutes ago, it was announced that the new president of Kaskaskia is the leader of the KIF Juliet Masterfield. Further details of the new government are to be decided in the coming days, but for now Masterfield has absolute power under martial law with the backing of the military.

Acadia will be deploying its air and ground forces to Kaskaskia immediately to restore order. Air raids may be used. The KIF has been declared a terrorist organization by the Acadian General Assembly.

Looks like Evil Acadia now has the chance to set up a puppet government in Kaskaskia. D: Jon, what have you done?

Folland's government erupts with activity after the news of the coup arrives, and eyes directly turn to Acadia as it's military mobilizes in response. Kaskaskia, being a friendly neighbor, is now at risk of Acadian attack. Chancellor Moen agrees that order must be restored but military intervention into Kaskaskia will not be tolerated.

I think we can call this roleplay thing "what happens if sh*t really happened?"

MONDAY AFTERNOON - Okaiken, which is very supportive of the Former Kaskaskian Government, has denounced the move by the KIF. It has called the coup illegal and will cut all diplomatic ties with the nation. Okaiken has filed a countersuit against Kaskaskia for breaking several rules in the USNW charter, and calls for the immediate expulsion in the country. On other news, the Okashi Stock Exchange has almost lost all its Euphemian Assets, plunging the state in recession once again. Protests have been out of control in the rest of the country. Tens of thousands of protesters have occupied the largest gathering place in Adonia - the Imperial Square, calling for the Emperor to take power in Okaiken and to dissolve the Parliament.

Because the government is indecisive (also unpopular), government making bad decisions at crisis mode.

EMPEROR AGREES TO DISSOLVE PARLIAMENT
MONDAY NIGHT - The Imperial Agency, as well as members of the Opposition Party, has agreed to dissolve the Sanese Parliament after a motion of no-confidence was passed in the house. This would vacate all decisions made by the ruling party - including the countersuit launched by the Gemba Government against Kaskaskia as well as several policies made by the new regime. It is welcoming for protesters who have now camped outside the Imperial Square. More calls to install the Emperor as the Supreme Ruler of the Country has been called so that he could quickly fix the economy of the country.

This is certainly bad news for Acadians as they lose one of their allies. It is expected that either the Emperor, who is Anti-Acadian, or the Opposition Parties, which are also Anti-Acadian, will rule the country.

Kaskaskia's ground territory and airspace are being violated. Kaskaskia sees this as an act of war and is retaliating to it, not the other way around. Acadia is the aggressor. Kaskaskia appeals to Folland for assistance in defending it's sovereignty.

Kaskaskia is currently evacuating major metropolitan areas due to the thread of Acadian air strikes. Acadia is again reminded that it's aggressive actions and violation of Kaskaskian sovereignty constitute a declaration of war.

Oh well I guess I read it a little wrong. Well damn.

Chancellor Moen wishes to aid the Kaskaskians in defense of their citizens and their sovereignty, however the Folland military cannot measure up to the combined forces and arsenal of the Acadian Armed Forces. Even if it were possible, Fraesia acts as a buffer zone between Folland and her intended target, which would drag Folland out into a confrontation without affecting any of Acadia's military and industrial assets. At the same time, the Marqualis Fleet still sits off the Folland west coast, threatening several major cities including the capital. If Folland intervenes in Kaskaskia, it surely means all out war.

Even so, Airbases in Northeast Folland near the cities of Chetal and Oboden are placed on heightened states of alert, preparing sorties of UT-37 Phoenix Interceptors for the inevitable.

Realizing the Diplomacy may have failed, what has started must be ended as quickly as possible for the sake of Euphemia.

OMG the world is falling to S**t lol who knows maybe another GAW on the horizon.

Several Cargo ships have been sunk off the coast of Folland. After several attempts by Marqualis and Acadian ships requesting the ships change thier course away from the group, the Ships had no choice but to sink the vessels for the safety of the group. This has increased tensions between the nations even further. All crew and several million dollars worth of cargo were lost.

All cities in Marqualis have also been put on high alert as the stock market has crashed after Okaiken markets put the country into recession. The police have been dispatched to quell rioters and the treasury board as well as Economic cabinet members would like to sit down with Okaiken to lessen the severity of the impending recession.

Oh the world really is going to hell here. I'm glad it didn't escalate this bad in real RP. Hopefully this has a somewhat happy ending.

Acadia asks Marqualis for more naval assistance.

A national military draft has been enacted.

The AIA will continue covert and military operations to fight the KIF terrorist organization in Kaskaskia. All major Kaskaskian ports are being blockaded by the Acadian navy.

Acadia warns Folland to not get involved in Kaskaskia or it will be seen as an act of aggression.

Acadia leaves the USNW to pursue its own interests outside of the USNW charter.

Acadia has pushed back KIF forces in the northeastern portion of Kaskaskia.


Just to get that pesky charter out of the way.

And now Kaskaskia is going to hell. Too bad, it was a beautiful country. Has war been declared on Acadia or not? (Nevermind, we declared war on you apparently, lol) We're attacking you but a declaration of war on Acadia would possibly cause GAW2.

Also, about the fortified city, Acadia/Jack loves bombing. The AIA is especially talented in Stealth bombing.
