Maybe we should just get attacked by aliens. Then everyone would be for this. Razz

LOL We haven't even found any signs of alien signals yet... 20 years ago the Callamesian Astronomical Agency sent a Radio Signal from Arkebus, but since then no signal has been returned. Razz

The Array doesn't need to be expansive anyway. Just a few satellites. And hey, at least they're not whole space stations. Razz

So is this still up for debate or has Folland changed their mind? Razz

This is still in debate. If it weren't for that review request it'd be passed, but Folland strongly believes this will be beneficial.

Sooooo, we need Folland to hand in the "stuff" listed by Okaiken, not parts of it Razz

Actually, since Okaiken so strongly believes in "Article 9", that would make you exempt from all decisions pertaining to military matters, as the military involves itself in the "war making business", thus Folland doesn't have to listen to you and your demands. Razz

That said, I will reword the phrase in a professional, political light.

Folland respects the Sanese government and their feelings toward the proposal, however, Folland will point out that the coveted 'Article 9' of the Okaiken Constitution practically makes the nation exempt from participating in any official decision regarding the USNW Ministry of Defense and anything that would be under its jurisdiction. Thus, being bound by Okaiken law to renounce all Military matters , Folland will refuse to abide by Okaiken's requests/demands and will continue the proposal.

Voted no. It is just a scary thought that there are weapons in space. Even if this is a roleplay planet.

As I said, the things were highlighted because of clarification, not political matters. There are a lot of holes in the bill, and I'm is not sure about a lot of things in the bill. Okaiken generally disagrees with these things, so the Nation is more likely to say no; but from my (the minister's) perspective, having so much insecurities in a mega project like this will result in more problems, and the assembly nations would have to pay the price.

So I don't really care if my nation has the Article 9 in it, but this there is just no detail.

I Understand your position and thank you for wanting this to be thorough. However this proposal has gone on long enough and even though you are right to ask for clarification, we do not see it as a requirement at this time, for the details will fill themselves out overtime.

Now it's just down to the vote.

I believe we're waiting on Kenny, Kurt, and Jon for their votes.

While the Dantanaean government isn't really keen on weaponising space, several companies have expressed interest in making parts for this project and they have used their lobbyists to change the Dantanaean vote from 'No' to 'Abstain'.
