Hey Ying, the St. Michaels thing, that happened in Laagvlatke, not Aquilonia, I just was a bit preemptive in posting it. Since KLM is the dutch airline, I figured I'd take Tenerife Razz

I'd think it would be better for the Adonian "Titanic" to have 612 survivors instead of 612 casualties from the 1,900 people on board; that would make the disaster more similar to the real-life one (which had around 700 survivors out of over 2200 passengers). Wink

Also, here's a Grandian aviation disaster:

1989: Imperial Airlines Flight 234 - Flight 234 was a scheduled Imperial Airlines flight between Francistown, Grand, and Melkarte, United Vassalies. On May 2, 1989, a Boeing 737-297 serving the flight suffered extensive damage after an explosive decompression in flight, but was able to land safely at Francistown International Airport nevertheless. The only fatality was flight attendant Alexander Woodrock, who was blown out of the airplane. Another 65 passengers and crew - out of 95 persons on board - were injured.

Due to the damage taking place near Belluterran airspace and the fact that tensions between the two nations had risen recently, the damage was initially suspected to have taken place as a result of a terrorist bombing sanctioned by the Communist Party of Belluterra; however, investigation during the aftermath of the disaster revealed that the age and condition of the aircraft were to blame, rather than Belluterran terrorists. (As a side note, after the fall of the Belluterran Communist Party and the subsequent reunification with Grand, it was discovered that there was indeed a Belluterran secret agent on board, returning from a mission abroad to the United Vassalies, but whose presence was not in any way connected with the disaster itself.)

October 1, 1942: Rail accident
List of Disasters - Page 2 <img src=" />
A freight train full of oil tankers attempted to stop on a gentle downslope in order to leave the switch ahead open for a passenger train that was traveling along the other route. It had rained that day, and coupled with the ever-falling leaves on the track, made it difficult for the train to stop. It went sliding down the slope through the switch into the third car of the passenger train. It was a 10 car train with approximately 250 occupants per car. The rear cars rammed through the front cars, and coupled with that was the fact that the oil from the freight cars leaked out, caught fire, and eventually exploded. Out of both trains, there were 198 deaths, 35 injuries, and amazingly, 2 people came out unscathed.
