In the early morning hours of October 8th, the skies above the central Euphemian nation of Fraesia erupted in noise that local citizens haven't heard since the Dead War. Information is still coming into the studio but what we know is that four Follandan Airborne Divisions of paratroopers were dropped in Western Fraesia all long the country. Flights of UT-130 Transport planes escorted by Follandan Phoenix Interceptors crossed the border into Fraesia in what analysts are calling an "Intrusion". The reason behind this has yet to be released by the Government. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

More information has filtered in now. Chancellor Moen herself appeared in a brief national press conference confirming the use of military force in west Fraesia, stating that the "Fraesian Government backed by the previous Acadian government under the Alexander Johnson administration holds deep distrust towards Folland," and supposedly created government policies hidden from the mainstream media that were "unnerving" due to them involving Folland. What this, and the military's actions means for Fraesia remains unknown. The world's reaction also remains unknown, however Acadia, who holds strong relations with Fraesia after the Dead War will undoubtedly come forward about this.

In related news, so far resistance in Fraesia has been minute. The Follandan military is strongly urging all Fraesians that they "mean to do no harm" to anyone. Below is a recorded transcript of a Follandan officer speaking in Trentannian after Paratroopers of the 4th IA captured a Fraesian airport.

"May I have everyone's attention. This airport is now under the control of the Follandan Military. We mean to do no harm and only ask that everyone remain indoors, where you are, and to stay calm. We appreciate your cooperation and will make efforts to keep you comfortable. We are not your enemy."

Backlash

Just one day after Follandan Military Units intruded into Fraesian territory, International backlash has been intense. Several nations have regarded Folland's actions with fierce disapproval, some even threatening USNW Court charges and Retaliation. Statements from the Follandan Military Leadership continue to claim actions within Fraesia are "without force" and is "in no way an invasion or declaration of War.". It's been released that this has been a Preemptive Action against Fraesia.

In related news, Chancellor Moen has sent a formal request to the Fraesian Government to release any and all political information and intelligence regarding the Follandan Republic. With the presence of the Follandan Military, however, it may seem more like a demand. Correspondents in the field have reported that Follandan Military Units have set up base camps outside of Fraesia City, but have no entered the city. The Follandan Air Force have set up a no fly zone in Fraesian Airspace.

I'm thinking the Fraesians probably don't want to be forced into giving any information while Folland breathes down their neck.  What kind of information is it that you're looking for?

Government policies, war plans, intelligence gathered against Folland, anything that could jeopardize the safety of the country that's kept hidden.

In Tonight's News;

* More than Half of Folland's Ground Occupation Force withdraws back across the border. 2,000 remain.

* The Follandan Air Force continues to operate Patrols over Fraesian Air Space.

* Chancellor Moen once again asks Fraesia's Foreign Ministry to release any and all Intelligence documents Fraesia has on the Follandan Republic.

*The Follandan Occupation Force continues to exercise it's presence without lethal force.

*Just 9 hours after taking one of Fraesia's Airports, the Follandan 4th IA allows the civilians to leave and return to their homes. Non nationals were given temporary accommodation in neighboring towns.

I have to wait for Agus to reply to that request for documents.  I'm pretty sure that the Fraesians have already shredded all sensitive data by now, and all backups were probably put somewhere safe (digitally sent) like Torshia.

* Chancellor Moen requests to meet again with the Foreign Minister of the Acadienne Federation to negotiate the removal of economic sanctions.

* Follandan Foreign Ministry updates it's Relations Index. Due to recent events, many previously good relations are now stated as Strained.

* Follandan Air Force performs border patrols in fear of any surprise retaliations for the three day Occupation of Fraesia.

* The Palekaikan President has approved a request by the Follandan Navy to perform maneuvers around the island nation of Paradise. A Carrier group consisting of 12 vessels will set sail across the Cilician to arrive at Whiting Naval Base on Paradise in several days. Income from Tourism is suspected to increase due to Follandan Sailors spending their Shore Leave on Paradise.
