Things to note when reading the DPAP is that is aimed at the richest peoples that come to this country in search of low to no taxes coupled with beautiful scenery's. It is also slightly alarmist.
New pockets of minerals found near loxton river
A recent survey of an area just 38km south of Loxtone river has revealed a dense cluster of the various gemstones that make Akemoor stronger, this find in particular has mainly consisted of the incredibly rare Thunder rock; the diamond-amethyst formation unique to Akemoor and some surrounding countries, opal and in a slightly odd occurrence coal. Many mining companies have begun to make their way to the area to make use of this new resource but they are facing resistance from the local peoples who state the land is sacred and that it cannot be harmed in any way.
More as it develops.
United Forces Bill, how will it affect you?
The united forces bill in essence is designed to create a force designed for so called 'peacekeeping' which is true for many places. But not us, here in Akemoor, here the peoples do not take well to any opposition to their freedom whatsoever, it has been demonstrated in the past with several riots that broke out sadly in Darnelle after the failed Constitution introduction. The bill in question here promises to 'keep peace' in times like these which as evidenced by the opposing governmental forces in the Darnelle riots is ultimately the worst possible thing one can do to provoke the peoples, as if there wasn't many angry people before the opposing forces then as evidenced by the Darnelle riots around 78% of the population would feel it as a threat to themselves and oppose it in some way, be it by helping people protest or by protesting themselves. A force with such a force behind it unlike last time would be able to hold off the city which is predicted to cause massive protests in other major cities around Akemoor. Darnelle has still not fully recovered from the violence all those many years ago, why push it? Or worse yet, why threaten your lifestyle in another area just for some silly bill?
People, we suggest you support lobbies against this bill urgently or face the consequences of opposing the free nature of the peoples.
Power outs in Maj
After a recent thunderstorm that was not severe several transformers were hit by rouge lightning strikes, although the majority of the peoples in the area do not use electricity at the best of times the CBD was left in the dark for a grand total of 43 hours while the power department of the city organised itself inefficiently then eventually found the blown transformers and replaced them. Not much reaction is expected of the local community as a majority of them do not have power and the ones that do are in a minority. A group of 10 angered shop owners in the CBD who lost producxt from the power outage have however gathered in the lobby of the council.
