That's what it's always been, I thought. That's what Marsh, Jon, K50, and I decided in the beginning, as far as I can remember.

Edit: Please ignore everything I've said, my brain's running on 0 and I just realized I'm really confused. Razz

So what is correct? Cause now i'm really confused.

First I'm told it's summer in northern hemisphere, then you tell me its winter, the information listed states in summer and now you agree with both .. wtf?

The hemispheres are reversed. Which means that it is summer in the northern hemisphere, and winter in the southern hemisphere.

Isn't it reversed? Razz

Saathoff wrote:Southern Hemisphere

Due to the axial tilt of Adonia, winter lasts from the winter solstice (typically December 22) to the vernal equinox (typically March 20), while summer lasts from the summer solstice (typically June 21) through to the autumnal equinox (typically September 21).

Northern Hemisphere

Due to the tilt of Adonia's rotation relative to the Solarus and the ecliptic plane, summer is December to March and winter is June to September. September 22 or 23 is the vernal equinox and March 20 or 21 is the autumnal equinox.

Just in case anyone did not know. The purpose of the backwards seasons was set in earlier in USNW beginnings due to most of the members resided in the Adonia Southern Hemisphere and most us lived in the Northern in RL. So to match our seasons we flipped it. Hopefully everyone understands. This has been known atleast since i've joined the union in July. So if possible USNW members please abide by the seasons. Or at least stay close

Thank you! Hope this helps everyone!

If you read a little further, you'll see that Chip had gotten confused, and it is currently Summer in Loftindor, and Winter in Gamat Wink

It's winter in the Southern Hemisphere and it's summer in the northern hemisphere Razz

However, storms in the Northern hemisphere rotate counterclockwise (which adds up in the confusion) and the southern hemisphere's storms rotate clockwise.

I'll be posting a storm update on Post-Tropical Cyclone Antonio and Tropical Storm Brandon in the coming time...

A tropical depression has formed 800 miles ESE of Dantanaean Confederation. It is not expected to grow into a tropical cyclone or a tropical storm.

Good to hear that those two calamities have dissapated Smile

...wait, Dirk? As in "The Dirktator"? Razz

View user profile
Yes, I named it after Dirk Razz

EDIT: Should we Retire the name 'Antonio'?

View user profile http://oktimes.canadian-forum.com
There was a massive storm called Antonio? (Massive, property-damaging storms are the only reason I know of for retiring a name)

View user profile
It killed 960 people in Tetronia. It also caused devastating property damage.

Ok, I'm for retiring it then Smile
