Eastern Parts of parts of Mendorra, Hedjaz, Ezberistan, and Mellechia, which have begun to reinstate air flights, would remain in the clear for the time being, according to forecasts.

Trentannian meteorologist Brandon Jobs said upper-level winds will remain largely from the same direction, from the North and West, over the next 40 hours, bringing ash from the volcano into the Dacian Sea again.

"We expect the speed of the winds to decrease over Gamat and Althena, however, which could limit the distance the plume will travel, as well as limit the concentration of the ash," he said.

He said if the volcano in Gamat volcano continues to spew ash at the same rate, disruption would continue. If the ash ejections lessen combined with weakening winds, conditions could decrease through the weekend.

"The reason it's going through quite a fierce phase at the moment is because ice is melting and water is mixing with magma causing it to fragment," he told Frettir.

Although the Ash Advisory Center models cloud movements for up to 4 days ahead, it was restricting its public forecasts to the next 24 hours, so it was unclear what areas the dust would be affected into Sunday and the following week.

"The other problem is that the volcano is still erupting and still transmitting the ash into the atmosphere," Jobs said. "As long as the volcano is erupting, the ash will continue being transported by the wind, and flight disruption will continue"

This is a report from the Gamic Meteorological Office

The Main Eruption has ceded but there is still some eruptive activity is still in the western side of the crater. Magma explosions occur off and on producing ash, which falls near the crater. This explosive activity is accompanied by an abrupt increase in tremor. White steam clouds have reached a height of 6 km following these explosions. We continue to monitor the volcano closely.

In the western part of the crater, a new crater has formed at the site of explosive activity. Tremor pulses late 6 June accompanied steam plumes from this new crater. The plumes and explosions are small. Caving in of lava in the conduit can be heard between explosions. Only a part of the new active crater has been seen due to the steam. The glacial ice at the top is advancing rapidly to the Avaltjökull outlet glacier.

In the afternoon of 4 June an increase in seismic tremor was recorded at seismic stations around the volcano, but decreased again in the evening. Small pulses of tremor were recorded off and on during the night. At around 0900h on 5 June the tremor reached a maximum before decreasing again. An increase was recorded late 6 June for a short time and small pulses were recorded last night. The tremor has been predominantly at high frequencies. A few small, shallow earthquakes have been recorded beneath the top crater in the last few days.

Details in a status report issued collectively by the Gamic Meteorological Office and the Institute of Earth Sciences today at 11:00.

Flights in Westerna Althena, East and North Althena and South Euphemia may resume Airspace now, BUT WE REPEAT, NO FLIGHT'S IN LINIARSTIA AND THE SOUTH FOVAZH DURING THIS 40 HOURS, MORE INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED SOON.

A few dozen test flights yesterday offered hope that the skies over much of South Althena may be safe for air travel, but officials made no promises that the massive disruptions due to volcanic ash are about to go away.

"The results coming from these flights is... there's no impact in the area," USNW Secretary Jon Clark said.

USNW Transport Minister Alejandro Zapata said if the ash cloud continues "moving as it moves, then tomorrow almost 60 percent of Althena Air space will be risk free." That would allow more flights to resume, he said. "But we'll see [Tomorrow] what the picture shows."

Two key air travel groups issued a joint statement pushing authorities to ease flying restrictions. Adonian Airports Council International (AACI) Althena, which represents airports, and the Association of Althenan Airlines (AAA) said they question "the proportionality of the flight restrictions currently imposed."

But an expert who has flown into the skies to check conditions said he believes it will be "a few days yet" before it's safe to fly.

A spokeswoman for InsulAIR, one of the airlines that conducted test flights, told RUV the flights show Althenan airspace is safe, with the exception of [Gamat and the South Fovazh]. RUV's Jon Gudrunsson in Gamat reported that there were airspace problems in Southern Fovazh. In the capital, Kjiadvik, flights were taking off and landing.

Trentannian Airways, which conducted a test flight [Sunday], said "conditions were perfect and the aircraft encountered no difficulties." The plane will undergo "a full technical analysis" next.

Althenan and USNW transport ministers plan to discuss the results of flight tests at a technical meeting today.

The Posilliponian Civil Aviation Authority (Pausilippes Autorité de l'Aviation Civile.) announced it will re-open the entire Posilliponian air space to all flights [Tomorrow].

The Mellechian government said Mellechian airspace will be closed for at least another 48 hours.

Mervian Transport Secretary Ragnar Arnaar said officials were working around the clock to establish whether safe flight paths could be identified.

"Urgent discussions are taking place with Althenan and international regulatory agencies. We want to be able to resume flights as soon as possible, but safety remains my paramount concern," Arnaar said.

At Orkov Romanovich airport, a crowd broke out into cheers as a flight took off to test the skies.

Since the eruption beneath southern Gamat's Askivotn glacier worsened last week, prompting local evacuations and affecting Althenan airspace, airlines have been losing at least $200 million a day, according to the IACA, the trade group representing airlines.
IACA Althena, said airports have lost close to 92 million Enieos ($184 million U.S.) so far. More than 6.8 million passengers have been affected.

"While safety remains a non-negotiable priority, it is not incompatible with our legitimate request to reconsider the present restrictions," he said.
"While Althena's airlines and airports consider safety to be an absolute priority, they are questioning the proportionality of the flight restrictions currently imposed," IACA Althena and the AAA said in their joint statement. "The eruption of the Gamic volcano is not an unprecedented event and the procedures applied in other parts of the world for volcanic eruptions do not appear to require the kind of restrictions that are presently being imposed in Althena."

Across much of Althena, huge crowds have packed into airports, train stations and ferry lines, desperate for a way to get to their destinations -- which, in many cases, is home.
"My heart is aching," Jennifer Micheals told "RUV Sunday Morning." She and her husband, Guy, were traveling in Utrova when the problems began. They've been unable to get home to their four children, all younger than 9, who are being cared for by friends and family.

Some Althenan airports reopened Sunday, including several in Trentannia and Hedjaz, and all 16 that had been closed in Sercia. But officials in each country emphasized that decisions were being made around the clock and could change at any time.
Airports in much of the continent remained closed, with passengers unable to go anywhere. Many hotels quickly ran out of rooms.

As the situation became more dire, Trentannia said Sunday it was looking at whether to draft in the Royal Navy to help those stranded. The government planned efforts overnight to see what military and commercial vessels were available for possible deployment.

I think you should still lay off the flights, even though the volacno has stopped the ash will be in the air for another few days

Grand can already resume flights, since it was only covered by the cloud for a few hours Razz

Starting in five hours, Grand and Malo shall resume flights to most destinations previously affected by the ash cloud. Tarskya shall remain a no-fly zone for the time being.

The eruption site has not been visible today.

A few small, shallow earthquakes have been recorded beneath the top crater in the last today. Deflation of the volcano has been slow and continuous for the last days. A small increase in tremor was observed on Monday evening and higher steam clouds were seen at the same time on a web-camera. The clouds were white and contained little or no ash.

Details in a status report issued collectively by the Gamic Meteorological Office and the Institute of Earth Sciences today at 15:00. The volcano is still monitored closely.

Wind blew loose ash from Askivotn across south- and southwest Gamat. Kjiadvík is invisible across the small bay, seen from Bænnes. However, this was a single event that lasted only a few hours. No ash has fallen in the capital. The Ash cloud is now almost invisible in the Fovazh, which means, There is no More Danger from the Volcano.

Note, Gamat has on of the Best Meteorological Offices and Stations in the World.

Scientists flew over Askivötn this morning and saw that a lake has formed in the crater. Possibly, some degassing of magma still occurs in a small path located at the western or soutwestern rim of the crater, we can see brownish veils at the right hand of the Crater. Steam rises from the surface of the water, mostly at the northern edge.
