TOYOSHI - Despite yesterday's news about the recent conflict regarding the Ministry of Education's plan to add the disputed programs in its curriculum, the Okaiken Football Association (OFA) and its Kwangju counterpart will still be interested in holding the next UFFA World Cup in the two nations.

According to the president of the Kwangju Football Association, Kang Yoo-chun, "Many people greeted the decision to bid the World Cup to two countries with cynicism and scepticism, but despite these concerns and an initial conflict of opinion between Okaiken and Kwangju, the two co-hosts will start to work together in close cooperation, to bring the event to a successful conclusion. I feel deeply optimistic that the 2014 UFFA World Cup will help to bring the people of these two countries closer together."

In its bid, Okaiken and Kwangju will use 16 stadiums for the competition, each nation having 8 stadiums during the competition. It is also determined that the Opening Ceremony will be held in Taejon while the Finals will be held at Okashi's Sentoku Park Stadium, the site of the 2012 Adonian Games.

There's a new UFFA WC logo (not yet the final one)


Aight, I still need to fix the red one, I was going to put forth spirit but that's the only one that I could think of (Spirit is the representation of the animistic spirit, representative of Okaiken's Shinto Religion). Above is the emblem that can be found on almost all temples in both Okaiken and Kwangju, and it represents cherry blossoms, a tree familiar with Kwangju and Okaiken culture. It is also the emblem for Kwangju. The last one is a soccer ball, for well, the World Cup.

Now for the shape of the logo: the three cardinal elements is representative to the contiguous harmony of heaven (blue), earth (red) and its people (yellow).

OKAIKEN BEGINS DEFENCE EXERCISE IN THE AMEKAS




The Okaiken Self-Defence Forces (OSDF) had begun its annual defence exercises in the disputed Ameka Islands, confirmed by the Ministry of Defence yesterday. It will involve several battalions of the Ground Self-Defence Forces (OGSDF), aircraft from the Air Self-Defence Forces (OASDF) and ships from the Maritime Self-Defence Force (OMSDF) including all four helicopter carriers Shinano (DD181), Hiei (DD182), Musashi (DD183) and Hyuga (DD184).

レオタード22着盗んだタレントの女逮捕

岡市・豊島区の衣料品店から新体操用のレオタード２２着、合わせておよそ１０１万円分を盗んだとして、２２歳のタレントの女が窃盗の疑いで警視庁に逮捕されました。

逮捕されたのは岡市・世田谷区のタレント、橋川美咲容疑者（２２）です。警視庁によりますと橋川容疑者は去年１月、池袋の衣料品店に客を装って訪れ新体操用のレオタード２２着、合わせておよそ１０１万円分を盗んだとして窃盗の疑いが持たれています。これまでの調べによりますと、橋川容疑者は試着室におよそ４０着のレオタードを持ち込んで試着を繰り返し、その途中、「電話を掛けてくる」と店員に告げて持っていた袋に２２着を詰め込み店の外に出て盗み出したということです。このうち、１４着がインターネットのオークションに出品され、これに気付いた店側が警視庁に通報していました。

調べに対し、橋川容疑者は「かつて新体操をやっていてレオタードに未練があった。生活費に困ってインターネットに出品した」などと容疑を認めたうえで、「１週間ほど前にも同じ店でレオタードを盗んだ」と供述しているということで、警視庁が関連を捜査しています。
