Bergenstein Government Desparate, Confused

STRETTON (CDS) - The ambassador of Okaiken in Stretton could not stop cringing when the civil war in Bergenstein finally stopped because of foreign intervention. "I could not believe what had happened after the coalition of Sinope, Aescail and Abbasid invaded the Bergenstein Territory yesterday", said Ambassador Tanaka. "How could they suddenly stop fighting against each other and then teaming up to fight an enemy whose job is to stop their infighting in the first place?!"

The ambassador is quoting the remarks of Bergenstein a few days ago ago, which have "joyfully announced" that "This is a war for all of us, not just our militaries, it is for ALL of us," referencing the declaration of war against Sinope, Aescail and Abbasid, once a staunch supporter of the Traditionalist movement in Bergenstein. The Government of Okaiken continues its support of the coalition forces.

However, this "joyous declaration" of unity could not be true, said the Sinopian Government. According to an official statement, "The Sinope Republic believes that this attempt to unify Modernists and Traditionalists, who have been fighting against each others for months, against a proclaimed self enemy, namely the Coalition, is absolutely ridiculous. We know that this fake unification of forces will only lead to a bath of blood."

Okaiken Expands Warrants; Esdaad Movement declared Terrorist

OKASHI (CDS) - The Government of Okaiken had expanded its arrest warrants to the modernists as well as the central government of Bergenstein, including High King Gothenburg. "We are expanding the arrest warrants to the modernist delegation because we also found out that they have incited war during the summit in Toyoshi. We are also expanding the arrest warrants to the central government for purposely failing to deliver peace in the government of Bergenstein. The government is also pressing charges for a murder of a Sanese Citizen during the civil war by the Modernists.

Okaiken also announced that they would be labeling the Esdaad Movement as a "terrorist organization", whose purpose is to disrupt peace in Abbasid by attacking Southern Parts of the city.

Okaiken Self-Defense Forces Buys Follandian Tanks

OKASHI (CDS) - The Okaiken Self-Defense Forces ordered 300 new tanks from Folland yesterday after months of deliberations in the Diet. The new tanks would be in the scheme of blue called-MAXnite[1], a camouflage that is theorized to work under shadow or darkness.

[1] MAXnite is a colloquial name of "Maxis Nite", a color pattern based on dark blue colours.

We didn't invade technically, we're under preparations. One of Sinope's naval fleet is on the move to Batavia/Gran Aescail and is atm in the Insulonian strait. Our air force is also currently under preparation and there is an ongoing planification of various military operations against Bergenstein made by Batavian, Abbasid and Sinopian authorities.

Mervey Claims Dansmarkensweg is Theirs; Dansmarkenswegians agree

HALSVIK, MERVEY (CDS) - The Mervegian Government announced today that they are claiming the Bergenstein territory of Dansmarkensweg, as they were illegally occupied by Bergenstein after the Great Adonian War.

"We have not said anything in the past, but we apologize for the lengthy delay. This time, we are going to make a difference", Prime Minister Thorvald Stensland said in a lengthy briefing about Dansmark, it's Mervergian Name. "We are hoping to join the growing coalition against the oppressive state called Bergenstein," referring to the coalition forces of Sinope, Grand Aescail and Insulo.

Meanwhile in Dansmark, people strongly agree with the statement, stating that the Government of Dansmarkensweg no longer represent their identity that they sought 40 years ago. "Although Dansmarkensweg enjoys many freedoms that this government is trying to promote, they do not represent the ideal Dansmark. What the government did is the oppression of our culture by introducing colonialist policies," said a resident of Dansmark.

At a poll provided by OFD, Organization for a Free Dansmark, 79% agree with being a state in Mervey, while only 5%, mostly Bergenstein residents, said to stay with Bergenstein. Dansmarkenweg has suffered serious economic downturn since its occupation by Bergenstein.

Brullen moves troops to its Bergen borders
As the coalition forces move in to attack the Bergenstein Mainland, troops from Brullen has beefed up its securities in the border of Bergenstein, confirmed the Chancellor yesterday. Border restrictions remain in place.

(NOTE: I talked to Fail Will on Facebook today and discussed the situation that Berg has. Above are his recommendations. I would release the rest if the situation unfolds)

Never Sorry
Yesterday's article caused quite a stir from the community, with Bergen News releasing a counter-article that said "everything is fine", while Sinope criticized it as a front for "ethnic cleansing". Nikkan and its partner in Halsvik, MRK, had conducted a poll at Dansmark. Below are the actual poll results:

76.1% consider themselves Mervegian
9.9% consider themselves Scotian
3.7% consider themselves "Dansk"
9.3% consider themselves other

---

79.3% agree to Mervegian integration
10.3% agree to independence
1.0% agree to Scotian integraton
0.2% agree to the current system

Scitology banned in Okaiken

OKASHI (KTK/NIKKAN) - The Church of Scitology, a body of beliefs and related practices created by science fiction writer Roland Gerard, was officially classified as a cult in Okaiken, prohibiting its practices across the country. This comes a week after a former member filed a suit against the organization for intimidation and fraud.

Today, the government officially charged the organization for breaking the 222nd article of the penal code (Intimidation) and for also embezzling the funds of each member of the organization (253rd article). This means that the church's status as a charitable organization and a religion has been deemed void by the government and has been immediately reclassified as a cult. All books pertaining to the cult practice, such as the works of Roland Gerard as well as Scitology related films such as Dianets, have been banned by the government.

Time to play with Dejon Devil

Kwangju-OKaiken Relations Worsen over Small Islands

TAEJON (KBS, REPUBLISHED BY THE NIKKAN) -- How much further can Kwangju-Okaiken relations sink?

The Sanese government has decided to define the Kwangju-controlled Mokpo Island and a disputed island chain in the Mitoyagi Sea (Ameka) as its own territory in its revised manual on government guidelines for teachers and middle and high school textbooks. Taejon's foreign ministry summoned Sanese ambassador to Kwangju Koro Bessho in response and lodged a protest.

"I'm here to convey our government's grave opposition to Okaiken's education ministry, as it today maliciously included its reckless claims in the teaching guidelines for middle schools and high schools."

The Kwangju government condemned the new teaching guidelines, and demanded the plan be withdrawn immediately. If they are not, Taejon vowed to carry out appropriate measures.

"The Sanese government is continuing to make false claims over Mokpo, which is the first victim of Sanese imperialistic plunder, and trying to teach it to future generations clearly shows that it has not moved beyond the nostalgia of its past imperialism and its evil practice of distorting history."

The new manual, unveiled by the Sanese government Tuesday, includes a statement that Kwangju is [quote] "illegally occupying Sentashima," which is what Okaiken calls the islets, and that the Sanese government is protesting the action.

On the islands called Ameka in Okaiken and Diaoyu in the People's Republic of Peilan, Okashi says it is effectually controlling the island chain, and that there are no territorial disputes to resolve.

"Okaiken will educate about Sanese territory, and will also look to have friendly relations with surrounding countries. I don't see any contradiction between these two things."

In 2008, the Sanese government included a statement in its manual that called the Mokpo Island issue between Kwangju and Okaiken as a [quote] "difference in opinion." Even then-- when Okaiken didn't outright claim Mokpo as its territory in the manual -- the two nations' ties were under great strain.

But, now, with Okashi putting their stance into stronger language, it's hard to see relations improving anytime soon.
