@Agunter - Okaiken property is Okaiken property; with the help of the coalition, we would forcibly take our artefacts (there is only 1 in berg, which is Date Masamune's sword gift to Berg) Razz

Yeh as I said they would be guarded well and a single sign of intrusion would cause a $censored$ storm unless you wish to cause a war?

OKAIKEN NETIZENS 'FURIOUS' OVER ONE SWORD
Wants Bergen Royal Family to be beheaded using it

OKASHI (NIKKAN) - Okaiken netizens are buzzing over a trending topic at Chirp: A gold decorated sword known as "Masamune no wakizashi", Date Masamune's gift to the Bergen kingdom when he travelled to Western Althena with Okaiken's first embassy mission to Batavia. In the recent article by the Nikkan, it was reported that Okaiken wanted the sword back in response to the complete sever of contact between the Sanese People and the Bergen people. However, the Bergen "government" refuse to give the sword back to Okaiken authorities, and that they would even attempt to kill the officials if they seize the sword from the National Museum, where it is heavily protected by guards allegiant to the government.

Now, Okaiken citizens are furious over the refusal of the sword to be returned to Okaiken and that Hongan-ji Temple, the Date family temple in the city of Midokyo, are the rightful owners of the sword. The government's Chirp account was spammed by requests that Okaiken forcibly take the sword and that Honda Matakage, the leader of the Honda clan (and masters of the Date clan during the Oka period)and DPO leader, possess it. It was also suggested that all members of the Bergen Royal family should be executed using the sword, which follows the Bushido code that only a family heirloom can kill the final branch of the family. So far, the Okaiken government is choosing not to respond, but said that it is open to ideas on how to deal with things peacefully and carefully.

Leaked comments of an undisclosed Sinopian official: "They're mad because of a sword? Sinopians are mad because there's people in Bergenstein killing each other since late 2013. It's just a stupid sword."

TUNNEL PROJECT TO TEIKŌ SCRAPPED

ĪBAN (IDN) - the plan for a massive tunnel project that would connect Okaiken and Teikō had been scrapped, according to the transportation minister yesterday, citing construction and economical issues.

"The tunnel project is too expensive to be economically viable, and additionally, the tunnel goes through 3 fault lines including a major one" said transportation minister Imagawa Yasuhiro, who announced the cancellation of the project during a keynote speech that includes doubling the capacity of the Toyoshi - Ayukawa Shinkansen and the extension of the Yagi Shinkansen to the city of Hiroi and Shinano.

The Iban-Teikō tunnel is supposed to connect the cities of Toyoshi and Iban toTeikō and finally connect the two Shinkansen lines together.

This is bad, I sense politicking sugarcoated with logical reasons but at any rate, we should devise another method of transportation. I suggest why not have ferries connecting the two countries in the most extreme islands. I do believe that visa is not required but passport is a must and for all Teikonians, their national ID card too. Razz

Current tech? Pfft, we could get people to the moon in the 60's! A bridge ain't no thang.

View user profile http://www.dehyan.deviantart.com

173 Re: 日刊新聞 | Nikkan Shinbun on Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:39 am

Comparing tunnel construction technology to the moon landing is like comparing an apple to a celery. A tunnel running through a major plate boundary is easier said than done. This Okaiken tunnel is already longer than the Gothard Base Tunnel or the Seikan Tunnel (around 80-90 miles underwater plus a headway of 10km each side, it's too damn long. There are limits to what we can build, hence we won't be seeing mecha tanks. So this project is shelved for a time being.
