Edwards: Now that depends if they have a map of the vaults. I take it you are from Vault 42, or 43. I was certainly not expecting them to open up for another 20 years. That does bring plans forward. And if 30 trained men couldn't get into the town how are you going to get in.

The pain of the wound in my shoulder scorched the flesh and blurred the mind. It made me drop the rifle and i kneeled onto one knee clenching my shoulder, gritting my teeth and staring at the stranger with raged eyes. I cannot let this annoyance get in my way, I WILL not let him get in my way of my plan.


Michael: I-I can't believe this!


I yelled, wanting to just end him so we can be rid of this. I groaned at the pain and looked at my hand, my blood all over the place. I was beginning to feel a little faint. With my other senses blurred and reason escaping my mind, I tried reaching for the rifle again...

Pip van Buren: Having completed negotiations with Officer Edwards (as I chose to call him in my head), I approached Michael again, just as James finished trying to bandage Mike's shoulder wound. "Please, Michael," I said, bending down, "just try to accept him as our prisoner for a little while. We're heading to the dam now, and he's going to be our guide - I'm making sure he won't be up to any more of those monkeyfeatherbrained tricks of his." I picked up his rifle and brought it over to him. "If what he told us is true, once we reach the dam, he'll be out of our hands one way or another," I said as I tried without much success to help him stand up.

The terrain surrounding you is relatively flat, with a few small hills located here and there. Dead trees and bushes are scattered across the landscape, as are a few small boulders.


Pip van Buren: I say we face'em, try to negotiate maybe. Who knows, perhaps they'll go green after some negotiation?

Pip van Buren: As Jackson, James, and Officer Edwards took their places hiding behind various bits of rubble, I walked out to meet the people who were approaching. Most of them were surprisingly-well armed for their rugged appearance (although a few near the center of the group were entirely unarmed), I counted about fifteen people in total. I noted one of them carried a PIP-MiC. Hopefully, this wouldn't come to blows. I waved to them as I approached. "Hello," I said.

I stood near Pip, holding the patched wound on my shoulder, squinting with pain whenever i accidentally moved the arm too much. My rifle had been swung over my other shoulder, hanging off my back since i couldn't hold it anymore. What sucky luck this was. I kept glancing in the direction of the Dam. Slowly but surely, but damn slowly.
