Background Information:

History: In the early 1700s, persecuted Christians arrived from Europe and East Asia to Illu'a island and founded two separate nations. The United Republic of Illu'a was founded in 1781 by a merger of the two nations. For most of the next century, the country thrived on the fur trade. After a war with Lower Columbia from 1895 to 1898, Illu'a has been a small, peaceful nation.
