Judicial Addition Amendment/Amendment Proposal VI
To increase the efficiency of the High Court of the United Sovereign Nations, and to avoid any potential conflict of interests in which the Consul of the High Court may find himself, we wish to propose, via an amendment to the Union Charter, the addition of a new office for the Judiciary: the office of Vice-Consul. This amendment, should it be approved, will become the Second Charter Amendment, and will be added to the Charter as Chapter Four, Section Two, Clauses A-F.
II. To assist the Consul of the High Court in his functions, the office of Vice-Consul shall be created.
a. The Vice-Consul shall be responsible for all duties of the Consul in the event that the Consul is unable to perform his office.
b. Unless his services are required, the Vice-Consul will function as an ordinary member of the Union.
c. Candidates for the office must be a full member to be elected.
d. The Vice-Consul shall be elected by the International Assembly and must obtain a majority of yeas to be elected.
e. Should there be a lack of candidates for the office, the Executive Department shall select someone to fill the position.
f. The Vice-Consul shall serve six month terms.
