Operation Recuperar is an upcoming military invasion spearheaded by the Kingdom of Ruteria to take back one of their territories, which has seceded from the nation and has unilaterally declared independence, although as of yet, only two nations, the Commonwealth of Shayden and the Federation of New Friscia, are known to recognise it, and, in the case of the former, only partially.

History in brief:
The western portion of the island has been in posession of Ruteria for centuries, while the eastern half "was a barbarian state." After a brief Trentannian takeover during the Great Adonian War, Ruteria quickly recovered its territory, as well as taking over the rest of the island. After the war, many captured Vanadlans were brought to San Jorge as slaves, significantly boosting its post-war economy, which, like the island, had been devastated in the war. Because of their toils, San Jorge quickly became, proportionately, one of the largest tobacco exporters on Adonia. Later on, in 1957, the San Georgian people made a public statement claiming that Ruteria had never proclaimed sovereignty over them, but over their territory only. Ruteria denied that, and kept trying to repair the problem with peace talks. However, the San Georgians always rejected them, wanting nothing but complete independence for the island. In 1969, the Vanadlan slaves were finally set free, many of them returning to Vanadla, but some opting to stay in San Jorge. Finally, in 1993, San Jorge forcibly evicted the Ruterian governor from the Gubernatorial Palace in Santiago de San Jorge and unilaterally declared independence. Ruteria responded by declaring war on the San Georgian "rebels", a state of war which still exists. Operation Recuperar is a mission to finally recover the island, and end the war.
