Observatory Membership Changes

In light of recent events, the executives feel it is best to close applications for Observatory Membership from this point forward, until this resolution is lifted. The motion is read as follows:

Resolution One on Observatory Memberships

• All Observatory Memberships from the date of passage forward shall be suspended until the date the resolution is officially lifted.
  
• Current Observatory Members shall retain their membership until they are deemed unfit by a member checkpoint, or feel they no longer would like to be a member.
  
• Executives may downgrade Full and Ambassadorial memberships to Observatory if they feel it is necessary, although it is suggested the memberships should be revoked unless requested by the member being downgraded.

Voting will open in 24 hours.

The third clause establishes that if if is felt that a member is inactive but is likely to return, the executives can decide to, rather than remove them to the archives, temporarily demote them to Observer until they return. This can already be done on request.

With unanimous approval, this will now go to vote.

Passed with a 6-0-0 vote.
