Not trying to cause any fuss or anything because I voted for Carl, BUT nobody won the majority. Okaiken only won half of the vote. I don't keep up with how we vote on different issues but it should be a clear majority (you know, since we are trying to be Democratic and all   ). With that said, We should take Okaiken and Septentria (because they got the two most votes) and have a run-off between the two. Again, just my suggestion.

That's not really necessary is it? I mean Okaiken clearly got the most votes out of all...so I don't see a need for it.

Several people voted for their own bid (I think), so we don't know which way they'd vote if they couldn't vote for themselves.

Other then that I wouldn't mind to see Okaiken win.

Just based on the fact that there was such a large pool of contenders and such a small pool of voters, no one vote will tell who the overall winner shall be. Especially if what you are saying is correct that those who had a bid voted for them self (even though I did not). Although Okaiken did win a larger number of votes, they didn't win a majority. Picking the top two and allowing us to vote again will show a clear majority. I too think Okaiken will win simply because Carl AMAZING at hosting events. But for the sake of doing things right, I think we need a run-off election.

That's what I was hinting at before, although it's kind of pedantic to do that here.

Yes, let's do Trevy's suggestion to avoid further problems but I just want to remind everyone that there are different types of majority and that being said is also a democratic process.

The only other majority would be plurality and that would be ideal if we had more voters.

Really, if it pleases everyone that Carl wins then there is no need for a run-off election. For the sake of activity and responsiveness we can just say Carl wins and start the contest!!

I think I should have posted something here before, even though it may be a tad late I would be fine with Carl hosting it, as he did get a majority of the votes.

As I only came second by 1 point, I don't really see it as a fair, I would be up for another round of voting to determine a majority winner without Okaiken, just if Carl comes back before hosting time.
