Abbasidi News

Yesterday Dejon was supposed to post a news article about some major news changes. As he will not be back online until the weekend I am going to post a summary of the news that was originally going to be posted. The official article will replace this when Dejon has it ready.

News:

• A new King is now the leader of Abbasid
  
• He does not support the Bergenstein government, he supports the modernists
  
• He gets things done and quickly
  
• Thus he has announced that he plans to invade Bergenstein on the side of Bergenstein Modernists, the real Bergenstein he said.
  
• An anti-Bergenstein sentiment has started up, in a few isolated cases Bergenstein shops in Abbasid have been plundered, (an elderly couple were killed, they owned a traditional liquor store)
  
• In reaction a Abbasid equivalent of the Traditionalists marched in protests, (small street fights happened)
  
• All aid has stopped for the Traditionalists.
  
• Military supplies are going to the Modernists.

As the Bergenstein elects a new government the current situation in the capital, Rasheed and throughout many other cities continues to gradually get much worse. Three grouos have started to emerge from the initial random anger.


The first of the factions if the Commies which are pressing to enforce a communist rule over the Abbasidi Nation and has been so far the faction with the greatest support and has taken control an impressive amount of city streets.


The next is the Democrats that are also a very leftist wing group, these do not have as greater control over area but do currently occupy land outside the royal palace. Riot police have failed multiple times to move them off the Capitol Square in front of the Royal Palace. This has meant that politicians have been unable to move from the building.


The final is the Royal Reactionaries, these are supporters of the government and is a much smaller than the government wanted according to an anonymous politician. The majority of supporters are ex members of the TPF which fought for the traditionalists in the Bergen Wars.

Protests continue in Abbasid and no end is in sight
