Day 1 -- Television (Part 1) 1ed890e_8pfehk_rjthfqp4wqjlt9kwo

Welcome to the First Day of the USNW Communications Summit and Expo!

Day 1 -- Television (Part 1) Okashi_dome_example2

The First Topic in the summit is: Television

USNW Nations has seen the rise of Digital Television, but along with it lies problems concerning demand and speed. I would like the entire session to be dedicated to the solution to the increasing demand of Television Content.

Here are some of the drafts passed by the Okaiken Communications Board

Package 1: INTERTELSAT 19 SATELLITE
The Okaiken Board has seen a lot slowdowns lately, because of the lack of communications satellite. The first solution is to set up a new satellite with the help of the Ministry of Space and Exploration, called Intertelsat 19. In this package:

(a)Intertelsat 19 would provide more and clearer content for the Euphemian Area. It would allow Satellite TV users to have more channels in High Definition and Standard Definition or more services to the User. The satellite would be launched at one of the USNW-designated launch sites. This needs clarification before it passes.
(b) Construction of Additional Receiver Dishes to suit the needs of Intertelsat 19.

Package 2: EASTERN ALTHENA - KUYRUT - EUPHEMIA CABLE LINE
To meet the increasing demand of Eastern Television to the Western Audience, the Okaiken Board would like to build an undersea cable line from Kwangju - Okaiken - Kuyrut. However, in order for this to be accomplised the following must be attained first:

(i) The Territory of Brennsland must agree for the line to pass through the nation, or it will be bypassed.
(ii)A shipping firm must undertake the installation. It must be an independently owned company due to international reasons
(iii) The line must be strong enough to face the brutal Northern Cilician Ocean

In this package:
(a)Nations must provide a set amount of money to the project

That concludes this day's topics but if you would like to add more, please comment below. Thank you for coming!

Ah! So many pretty electronic-y things to look at! I'm in another country and it's so colorful and shiny and everyone's shorter than me by a foot at least! Razz

The satellite launch should be easy enough. There's a launch site in Grand (i believe) ready for the job. Also the Lovise mountains in Folland provide excellent locations to build receiver dishes at the highest elevations on continental Euphemia. They have clear lines of reception and from there the signal can be broadcast across the continent.

Regarding the under sea cable, Folland wouldn't have much involvement with that, though I fear for the cable's wellbeing as it is a fairly large ocean and god knows how deep it is in some places or if there are any crevices or casms. Bottoms of oceans scare the hell out of me.

Package 1: Mike seems to have it Razz
Package 2: Shayden companies would probably not be interested in doing this sadly. Sorry :c (The Government isn't allowed, or else they would consider it with some help funding wise)

Well, basically, the undersea cable would be on shallow areas, and passing through Land (Kuyrutian Islands). There would be no deep trenches XD

I guess we all agree upon the First Package Razz
