Kaskaskia would be willing to make a deal once Acadian military occupation Fraesia ends, more assurances are made as to the intentions of Acadia in Fraesia, or a political shift occurs in Kaskaskia during the upcoming election.
For the time being Acadia and Kaskaskia have no formal relations, but negotiation over river transit may be a pathway for reopening at least tentative relations. At the moment Kaskaskia is incredibly concerned about the future of Fraesia and is waiting on assurance of Fraesian self-government and the beginning of a gradual pullout of Acadia and other intervening forces from Fraesia. We are concerned that the presence of Acadian and other nations may influence the formation of a new government. We do not believe there is clear indication that the new constitution will be created by Fraesians with Fraesian interests in mind. Kaskaskia had good relations with the deposed Fraesian Government and has concerns that Acadian interference has permanently damaged those relations.
The passing of the embargo is a direct result of the introduction of more forces into Fraesian territory, in what Kaskaskia believes to be an increase in hostilities and a sign that the situation is being more heavily influenced by foreign military. We are more than willing to negotiate if our concerns are satiated.
