Alright guys, MAJOR progress since last pictures. I cheated and imported by New Uniden Airport into the Hinali region on two counts. One, being I didn't want to say goodbye so quickly to a really decent looking airport that took days to make, and Two, I was sooooo too lazy to make another one. The import also gave me a Residential boost cause of the pre-existing development in the tiles.

THEN, i re-terraformed the region appropriately to match everything up with the newly imported tiles, and then began the rest of the region's development, mainly the outskirt towns and farmland. I've completed two entire cities called Ouburn and Elsey, along with swaths of farmland, which completely finished the western edge of the Metro area.

I figure the region has two, maybe three more small towns left in it before i fill the rest up with Farms and place the finishing touches on the city proper.

When I'm done, every spec of this damn region will be covered by houses, shops, concrete, farm and forest. This is possibly my most ambitious simcity project to date. and this is only a 3x3...

More progress is made on the city tile itself.

I believe i built homes for 10,000 more sims. It's up to about 93,000 now in that tile. A nagging feeling continues to bug me though about the city's highway networks, and how it affects the look of downtown. I REALLY don't want to go in and demolish several blocks just to see what i can do differently...but maybe i can...ugh!

Seawalls. They are my worst enemy XD
I don't really know what to suggest as far as freeways. I see there's two (the MHW one was really hard to see at first XD ) I'd suggest one more, but I honestly couldn't see where it would go.

I feel like I had better city planning with Follomer's capital. There's just SO MANY NETWORKS to manage. lol And to help, I have a RHW running up to down in the middle ending inside downtown, and a maxis highway running side to side. The two cross, but don't connect because of space issues and yeah, they're different networks. lol

Looks well planned out .. quick question .. are you planning on keeping those islands off the coast as they are, natural habitat .. cause that would be awesome.

I love that you have used the spinnaker too, it isn't used often enough.

You better fill in those gaps with suburbs before the game refuses to grow buldings anymore. D:

Or at least, that's what happens to me. Razz

That's because you have reached the caps .. try placing an airport for commercial interests and using Simgoobers church's and BSC Special rewards to help raise the caps higher for residential.
