I feel it's a bit of a ripoff. Malakkan gets the larger concentration forever, while you get the smaller, and then for only ten years, and the price for an extension is 15 billion?

Greedy neighbors you have there.

Regarding previous relations, the New Chandlerite government plans to oppose this, wishing New Loftindor and Malakkan to solve their problems now instead of a few years.

Acadia believes this offer should be further negotiated before Loftindor accepts.

Okaiken believes that more work should be done, and that Loftindor should push for more concessions regarding this topic. Okaiken recommends that oil and natural gas should be shared by either Malakkan Federation and Loftindor and it also recommends to doing more action now than years because of the impending political deadlock and a crisis in the Gulf of Malakka.

Perhaps a method that divides the mined resources in half so both nations benefit from the gulf.

The IFK will remain neutral in this at the present.

After intense negotiations with the Malakkanian, we have come to these agreements.

-Loftindor may keep the proposed area under the terms below:
-A limited military presence (exact limit is suitable because of the low population of the area).
-The Malakkanians will keep 80 percent of the oil profits, giving 20 percent to Loftindor.
-Both nations may use the waters freely (certain restrictions have been enforced).
-The Gulf will be called the Oorlog Gulf (Oorlog in Loftindorian means War, because of the revolutionary war of Malakkan, we find it a suitable name).
-Ownership of the gulf is now given to both parties.

Ahh, it doesn't seem fair. Those Malakkanians aren't very generous.

80 percent?? It's not theirs in the first place since all of it was originally a Loftindorian colony. Loftindor shouldn't settle for anything below half.

Also in terms of ownership, why can't we just make the Gulf into International Waters?

Loftindor is now closing negotiations now realizing their unreasonable "deal." Loftindor will fight in the international court for this, if they do not comply with the court trial, we will be forced to resort to violence. The Defense Ministry recommends this as a "last resort." Loftindor will fight for the gulf if necessary. If you had any questions, please feel free to ask.
