The holy olives of Laraki
Laraki is a small town in southern Achay, there are no more than 17.000 people.
It is located on a promontory (200 m),named Sezguri.
There's a mosque, due to the presence of muslim minorities in Achay, two socialist monuments and an old temple, located just at the bottom of the promontory.
This temple, sorrounded by a great wood, says us that Laraki was an important port city in ancient times.
The main socialist monument, the Sky's Red Star,is located in the heart of Laraki, the Tariz park. Where people like to spend a day.
The other,is the "Kolkhoz Woman and the Worker",that is located at the extreme edge of the city, just near the new palaces, built during socialist era.
Here we also can see small houses, where the families came from the countryside,in 70's,to live there.
Laraki is the main centre of the Olive oil coltivation.
