Day 1: Opening Ceremony
Beginning at 11:50 AM, delegates from all eight members of the USNW began to arrive at Cedar Bluffs International Airport to begin the Constitutional Convention.
It was a gloomy day in the Capitol as the Delegates departed CBI for the Ambassadorial Hotel. There was concern whether the opening ceremony could be held.
The rain began to lighten as the hours passed. This stretch of McAdams Blvd. was blocked off in order to clear the way for the Delegates Tram's to pass, as well as defering CBTA service on the Blue/Green Line.
The Ambassadorial Tram is seen passing by Cedar Bluffs City College about one mile from Downtown.
As day turned to night, the rain disipated and the convention could begin! A huge festival on Market Street ensued at night, and with the addition of fireworks over the skyline. Cedar Bluffs began the Constitutional Convention with a bang!
