I do like Follvirkeland as well. It fits well with the base culture. Plus it also fits my Economy's most profitable Industry! Whenever someone yells, "TIMBER!" Money is made.

I've also been thinking about it's government. When first applying for the USNW and creating this country, I just took my old Government and re-purposed it for this one. Now I'm thinking on trying on a "different brand of shoes". A more socialist one.

Republic of Follvirkeland, a Democratic and Socialist Government of Representatives elected by the people with Majority vote, and leaving ultimate power over Laws and Elected Officials with the people. (i'm giving a big F-U to the Electoral College, worthless piece of crap that is. ) Elections are held every two years where the Citizenry cast their votes for their wanted candidates. Each province tallies up the totals, and then are sent to the Capital to be tallied up altogether. Majority then rules who is voted as Vice Chancellor and the Council as well. (I'm sure there's so many holes in this, but it's just a basic idea)

I was going to call it the Socialist Republic, but I fear that would make people assume I'm turning "Red". With me, think more of the Galactic Republic in StarWars.

So I found, and read up on a bit of Adonian history, and I guess if I follow all the facts right, the "Home country" i kept blabbering on about in my history, would be Utrova.

Would that be correct? Should I rewrite my history now?

Utrova is more of a Russia/Ukraine analogue, so I say you stick with some other Fovazh country.

Linestecia is TINY. What about Scotia?

Maybe, that could also be a Sweden analogue; since Linestecia is tiny, it may be possible to have two Swedens.

So the colonists who founded Follvirkeland would be the Mervegians (the people of Mervey), then? Sounds interesting.

Also, Mervegian Vikings settled my colony of Tarskya a long time ago (a large minority of the population - mostly in the southern region of the peninsula - still claims Mervegian descent), so we'd have something in common then.

I guess that would work. Although I'm not familiar with Mervey's history during the 1600s.

Me neither; I suppose you could help with creating that if you want, since no one that I know of has done any part of its history (other than the few scraps I have about its colonists from the 10th and 11th centuries).

My scraps include the "home country" wanting in on the colonization of "the new world", basically Itzamna in this world, and settled in what is now Follvirkeland and the colony thrived off it's Logging industry.

Yes, nothing of the government is changed. To clarify, Follvirkeland is a Democratic Republic with Socialist ideals such as free health care, but with a Capitalist economy.

Well, it can, since there are a lot of Scandanavians in Minnesota/Manitoba, I think it could work

It'd be kinda easy since Follvirkeland on the world map is almost directly west of where Mervey is. They could have just sailed down around the southern edge of Euphemia.
