Okashi 2012 | One World, One Dream. | Bid Background_1
ADONIAN GAMESPRESENTATION

Okashi 2012 | One World, One Dream. | Bid Intro_host

Azumi:Kombanwa to you, members of the International Adonian Games Committee, Delegates of Host Cities, Staff Members who made this session possible, and to our viewers around the world! I an Azumi Yamasaki, one of the presenters of this bid, the 2012 Okashi Adonian Summer Games! I will be joined tonight by members of the Okaiken Adonian Games Committee, members of the Imperial Family including the emperor, our beloved Dai-Tenno Mitoyagi himself, and other noted Sanese, who will present this wonderful bid to host this event dedicated to sport.

As always in every Adonian Games bid, we begin with our logo. This logo was known to the citizens of Okaiken as the Zen Circle. This logo was designed by Kobakayawa Masamune, one of the finest artists in Okaiken. This symbolizes the unity and the celebration of the games as the games that bring us together. Other symbols of the circle include warmth, openness, guidance, hope and peace, the common values of this event.

Now to our motto "One World, One Dream". Our goal for this Adonian Games is to have a united, peaceful and cooperative world. Since its ancient inception, wars had been stopped just to participate in the games. We believe that our games should not be a single-union nor a single site Adonian Games. We believe that Adonian Games is where people should be able to participate easily without conflict. We believe that unity would result in more participation, and unity will bring many great things that will be kept forever; friendships and relationships.

And now, this bid will be divided in ten different sections, something that Lungwixin introduced 4 years ago: The city in detail, culture, venues, maps and transportation, entertainment & attractions, legacy, frequently asked questions, advertisements and sponsors, and closing speech. And now, may I introduce to you, Honda Hideyasu!

Hideyasu: What is this bid all about?

Azumi: This bid is for all people around the World, so that they can enjoy a fun, united Adonian Games. Okashi is a suitable place for this Adonian Games. In the past forty years the people of Okaiken has opened their arms to other people and remained peaceful and quiet. Now, it is time for the silent dragon to rise and showcase what our city will have to offer!

We begin with the story of Okashi, the capital of the great nation of Okaiken. It was founded long before the advancement of civilization, at 250 BC. Back then, Okaiken was a very small kingdom known as Miyagi. The nation is bounded by water and the reins of the kingdom was separated by the body of water. Legends of the kingdom reveal that the first emperor is born in this body of water by the god of water but he is unable to survive it. The god of Earth and Fire Created an island for him, and this island became the roots of the civilization. However, the God of Water and the God of Earth Fire never agreed on something, and their conflicts resulted into the division of the island into three parts: Harukon, Iban and Yagi, The emperor was separated from his parent, the God of Water, resulting in the sadness of the god. To this day, the God of water has never stopped crying, creating rain and mist.

Coming back into reality, Okaiken was a land of rain and mist indeed. Okashi receives a suitable amount of rainfall each year, enough to turn Okaiken's small streams into big rivers. The area near Okashi is also where 2 Currents meet, the Cold Okaiken Current and the Warm Morsco Current, resulting to fog, rain and mists that make Okashi one of the most photographed cities in Adonia.

Hideyasu: And now, some basic facts about Okaiken. Okaiken is compromised of 1,250 islands, but the three major islands, Harukon, Iban and Yagi holds about 95% of the population. 3% of the population lives in the fourth-largest Island, Gran Mitoyagi while the rest of the population lives in habitable islands in the Ogasawara and Ameka archipelago. The population estimate of Okaiken is 53,000,000 in 2012, and Okashi, Okaiken's capital and largest city, is home to 1/5 of the population. Okashi is one of the largest cities in the Althenian Continent, and is also one of the most advanced cities in Adonia. It is home to top electronics giants in Adonia as well as several car companies that rivals even the best of cars. Other cities in Okaiken include Toyoshi, with a population of 7 million, Iban, with a population of 5 million and Harukon, with a population of 3 million. 79% of Sanese Citizens live in urbanized areas.

The climate of the nation varies from one area to another, due to the phenomena of the currents. The cold waters of the Okaiken Current make the southern portion of the climate cold, while the hot Morsco Current gives the extreme northern parts of Okaiken hot summers and warm winters. The areas in between has a temperate climate, with temperatures of -10C in Winter to +32C in Summer. Okaiken is also bound by mountains and volcano. Mount Sawashiji, a well known dormant volcano around the World, is Okaiken's highest peak. Okashi is surrounded by mountains on both South and North.

The economy of Okaiken primarily consists of manufacturing and high-tech industry. As highlighted earlier, Okaiken is primarily home to companies that produce electronics or make vehicles. Kawasaki Heavy Industries creates ships and vehicles in Okaiken; Okasharyo produces trains and sends them around the World.
