Some people have expressed to me that they feel fine with Chapter 5 as it was written so it'll go to vote now, the poll will last for 24 hours and which ever option has the highest vote count will be the winner.

Spoiler:

Poll is up, you don't have to say voted, it only allows ambassadorial and full members to vote.

Here is why I am saying no: You are giving this person (the chief justice) too much power. This person, if we have it, should be democratically elected, and it seems that their term goes forever.

I think this should be a position in the cabinet, maybe less then the Chancellor, First Minister, or Executive Secretary as far as "power" goes, or give these roles to a certain position in the cabinet, or have the Judge be the entire panel of admins themselves.

Giving someone the power to open a case, close a case, and keep order during proceedings is not too much power, I'll add the term limit.

A term longer than one of any other role is too long. Not to mention, I still don't like the idea of giving all the power to one person.....

My vote stands.

Considering Chief Justice positions are normally life long in real life, I think 9 months is fine considering they only get two terms where the others get more. That's still not a lot of power K50, bringing a case to vote? Closing it? and keeping order? That's what a normal judge does. Like it says the members are the jury, the judge decides nothing he's completely impartial and just keeps order.

...and if I were a founding father of the United States, I wouldn't like the lifelong term at all. And that's my opinion; if you don't like it, then that's great. Razz

I think the Cabinet should handle this kind of thing and MAYBE have someone in the cabinet appoint jury members as part of their position. I am remaining firm on my vote Smile

I'll compromise, what about a term limit of 6 months, and he/she is appointed by the cabinet + the ministers.

The justice needs to be VOTED IN TO OFFICE.

The justice shouldn't be biased. The cabinet might. You'll never know.

What does everyone else think of this, are you all alive?

Why don't we just get rid of the court, and leave it like we had it?
