Okashi 2012 | Together We Rise™ | Torch Run

Again, another thanks to Yingblanc, who has sent his torch run way before everyone else. This has been posted at 11:00 pm CDT (1:00 JST)



We start with the Torch coming in from Insulo in the very busy Akane Yasu Airport, the route will go through all of Taichung's City Centre on the way to Kytona Airport for Insulo. So shall we get started.



Our first major site is the River Taihua and the gap between the suburbs and the city centre, here it won't be carried, but fired by flaming arrow to ignite the torch to the next carrier. You can see the first crowd of spectators as well here.



Next we go all the way down Taichung Central Park, many people coming here to see the torch, this is also being carried normally by Nilian cricket player Freddy Rei, captain of the national team. As we come close to the end we have female cyclist Mya Sano at the hand over to go to the next hand over.



We approach Old Town with the pass over to famous racehorse "Rounds On Me" and his rider trotting down Old Time giving the public time to see. He has won 3 of the Royal Mile races, 2 in a row. And is now retiring this year.

There is no other event of significance apart from the national Baseball team running all 4 bases in their baseball stadium in a small relay.



So we say goodbye to the torch and have a small party as it starts its flight to Okaiken for the next leg.
