The Green Party, in most of the world, refers to a very heavy left-wing party (socialism), such as Marxists and other radicals. It doesn't seem your country would have that, correct me if I am wrong Also you are going to have a whole lot of tropical area if you want the location you said you wanted to take. Keep that in mind. Besides that I think it would work....

1) The Green Party of Duwamish isn't as radical as the RL ones, but are far left on a political scale.
2) The climate map shows a "marine west coast" climate there (aka Pacific Northwest), so it won't be tropical...
