Isolia is lit up the right amount, not very much at all except along the coast.

Bump and Bruised Razz

I would like to nominate Gleise as the Solarus System, with 581G being Adonia Very Happy

I'd hate a red sun. Neutral I really like the current location, so I'd vote no.

LOL Razz

Well, it depends on the luminosity of the star. Gleise 581 is a bright star (from wikipedia: "So such an estimate will underestimate the star's total luminosity") even though it looks red, it is as bright as the sun...0

Nevermind, found out that Adonia is the same size as earth. But congratulations to the team at Keck, which discovered 581g has water and it is liveable. Only thing now is life...

*EPIC BUMP*

I personally like the Outer Arm location. Far away, something new. Also, two moons is a bonus yay. And as Minister of Science and Space Exploration,

I approve this message. Razz

Um, just incase you didn't know, the guy who was doing this was banned for his part in the crisis the last few months. Although it is spectacular.

However, this is largely a community project (Matt mainly did the photoshopping). It was Jon who was Minister of Space Exploration back then, after all... Razz

145 Adonia's Solar System on Mon Feb 03, 2014 6:42 am

We need to branch out the Canon universe. As far as we know, Adonia is an Earth like planet, slightly larger, and has two moons. A small planetoid and smaller captured asteroid. Beyond that is a complete mystery. So lets discuss the solar system that Adonia is located in, all it's bodies and anything else relative.

Below is a quick suggested map of the Solar System. Only Adonia is named. I figured we'd discuss the names of the other planets. So far, I've only placed one terrestrial planet similar to our Venus, which orbits closely to the star. Then two gas giants past Adonia to act as Celestial Magnets that attract all inbound meteors, comets, and other moving objects that may potentially strike Adonia causing extinction events. This brings the total to four planets.

Solarus System. I think we can further explicate the topic in there.

The new thread has been merged into that old thread at Mike's request.

"As far as we know, Adonia is an Earth like planet, slightly larger"

very slightly smaller* according to Kurt's Adonia area calculations made like a month ago. Also, Carl and I worked on the Adonia wiki page: http://usnw-wiki.wikkii.net/w/index.php?title=Adonia

Thank you Jon, appreciate it!

Agunter: If Adonia had a sister planet within the star's habitable zone, we'd have known about it for centuries and have made conscious efforts to travel there for at least decades. By now we might have already established our first research base. I'm not one to forego a radical suggestion but a whole 'nother planet would mess up our Continuity something fierce.

So having a refresher of this thread, the star is named Solarus. ( giggle ) Can we come up with names for the other planets? And if we should keep the map as is, or add more.

Edit: Okay...so I'm a little behind on this. Nine planets? Would it hurt to be a bit more unique than that?
