The Grand Duchy of Litheniant has been under Bergenstein for an extremely long time, They were never part of the federation and never will be. The Grand Duchy gets the same privileges as any other state. We contest the sanctions deeply

OOC: There's absolutely no technical possibility that Bergenstein could own such territory. Instead of being a jerk and contesting this elsewhere as an out of character matter, I'm trying to make this issue as an in character roleplay. Relastova or Takesia would have taking it or most definitively the ISRR during its existence. To show a real life example, it would be like if Sweden owned Ceuta.

You could have take it during the GAW or at some point where the area was weak and vulnerable. ISRR and now Relastova and Takesia found the territory useless until recently where they find oil deposits?

Bergenstein was annexed by the Brullen Empire. Razz So it could not have acquired anything.  The only thing I can think of, is it was a part of a treaty.  Maybe Bergenstein defeated Scotia in a war long ago, and as a result, acquired the territory.

Valessia declares its neutrality in this situation.

Brullen will maintain neutral relations with Bergenstein. We are looking into limiting our borders with Bergenstein as we fear their unstable economy could have adverse affects on our nation.

Closing borders? That's a bit drastic. If you close your borders to Bergenstein, it will benefit no one. It will be terrible for Bergenstein and disastrous for Brullen. Not even the Koreas block each others' borders. South Korea, Russia and China (even the US via SK) are feeding NK and giving them free stuff. No one closes borders with its neighbours.
