This is a role-play based on the doomsday situation of a Zombie Apocalypse occurring on Adonia. This role-play aims to present a realistic representation of how the nations and people on Adonia would react to handle the situation. Some nations will fall, and others will survive. You decide the fate of your country, as long as it is realistic it is good to go. Feel free to role-play for NPCs as long as it is realistic.

The Virus is a retrovirus transmitted through blood, germs, and fecal matter. It thrives in unsanitary and high density locations. So I will start.

Day 1 (June 6th, 2014): The new virus emerges in Isolia, a south Neridian country which is a developing country with quite a few trade partners. People are reporting coughing, vomiting blood, headache, dizziness, mood swings, and odd cravings. No fatalities yet.

Mitron, being the island it is, decides that this could be like the swine flu outbreak of a few years back, cuts off trade to Isolia, and is beginning to build a protocol for if this new virus spreads. We will close our borders if the virus spreads. All outer islands have ceased traffic in & out. The Coast Guard is going to close them off

I mean, we're an island, and I was just thinking about this yesterday. We are the safe haven (or at least will try to be). So, basically we're trying to be safe. But yeah it might be too early for this all. Idk though.

The Government and people of Folland remain mostly quiet about this new disease. Media outlets report on it's outbreak and some scientific groups have flown to Neridea to research the virus. Shipping lanes to Neridea remain open.

Abbasid has also issued a travel alert, and expatriates traveling from Isolia to Abbasid will be checked for any signs of illness immediately after their arrival.

Any recently arrived residents of the nation will be sent back immediately. Acadia would like to join Folland in its research.

Heh, I was just reading an article about how a stereotypical zombie outbreak in the U.S. would "realistically" be stopped in minutes by... well, just about everything from the military to Mother Nature Razz

The Imperial Federal Kingdom is keeping a closer eye on foreign visitors for the present.

DAY 2 (June 7th, 2014): Infected individuals swarm to hospitals, trying to receive treatment. Strange reports of people dying then coming back alive and attacking hospital personal has been reported. The disease has rumored to have spread to Forgia and Guyesia.

Shayden is keeping a close eye on the situation, and is waiting to take any further action.

Seeing how quickly the outbreak has spread, and how severe it has become, Mitron is now stationing Federal Guard troops at all locations were there is travel in & out of the country. All boats & plans coming from the Neridean area are turned back and not allowed to unload passengers. Pamphlets have been passed out stating to "Wash hands & listen to commands", as the government attempts to instruct people on how to stay disease-free. "At this point we are hoping this outbreak stays localized, but we will be prepared anyways." That was the public statement by Chancellor David White.

The Malonese Viceroy has declared martial law, and has put the military on patrol near the Forgian and Zebtesian borders. Reports of further clashes between the Malonese and Forgian militaries are as yet unconfirmed. The government denies that any cases of the disease have as of yet popped up in Malo.

The border with Forgia is officially closed, and the National Guard has been deployed on the border. Citizens of Forgia and Isolia are no longer allowed entry into Abbasid. Trade with these two nations has also been suspended. Effective immediately, all expatriates attempting to gain entry into Abbasid will be subject to a series of medical inspections.

Paradise has stopped all flights to Isolia. Researchers around the country are trying to investigate the disease and its effects. The president has issued a statement declaring there is no need for alarm.

However, Ikiana is a different story....

The Federal Department of Health is shocked at how quickly the disease spread to Itzamna and Central Althena. Concerned at the Infectivity of this strain, and the modern ease of global transportation, the Department has urged Chancellor Moen to convene with Euphemian leaders in possibly cutting all access to the continent from Itzamna.

At the same time, all shipping from overseas is being either checked for the disease, or turned away. International flights have been cancelled and domestic flights have begun Health screening of passengers.

Entry into Acadia from the affected nations has been suspended until further notice. The Federal Assembly has issued a grant to researchers for this disease.

DAY 3 (June 8th, 2014): It has been confirmed that the dead are rising, and attacking the living. Risings of this infection have increased to Bajer, Bintao, Ruteria, Brullen, and Asmiriva. Isolia has declared a state of emergency and has been placed under Marshall Law.

Shayden is offering military assistance to contain the strain, and Scientists are researching the disease.

Chancellor of Folland approaches the leaders of Shayden, Kuyrut, and Acadia to discuss the halting of the spread of the virus to Euphemia. Ultimately the construction of a massive containment wall across Shayden's north border from coast to coast is proposed.

The Follandan scientists arrived in Neridea and set up a research base, however the situation is deteriorating quickly and their safety is not guaranteed.

Sorry for taking so long to post this but:

Seeing now the danger of this disease, with both severity & transmission of the disease, Mitron has officially closed it's borders. All people that have entered the country within the last week are now being forcibly removed. Of course, they are being refunded for all inconveniences, but unless you are essentially someone who is not a tourist or such (basically everyone but Mitronian citizens) you have now been told to leave the country. All borders are closed, and researchers and scientists are working on a cure. The military is now beginning martial law, and anyone who is showing signs of any illness is to be reported and brought to any of the designated hospitals. Anyone suspicious will also be seized by the military and taken in.

Wait, are these fast zombies or the slow type? Razz

Grand and Belluterra will turn away all visitors until the outbreak is over. We hope to wait out this disease by virtue of being an island nation.

Reports of outbreaks in Malo continue to be denied by the government. In other news, much of the military has been redeployed back to the cities to keep the peace.

Actually, according to Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide (Which I may or may not own...) zombies can float at the bottom of oceans and reappear at shores worldwide. Some even float if they get bloated enough. Oh by the way, I'm a zombie expert. Self-proclaimed, of course. No degree. Yet.

Well, deeper than twelve foot water roughly. Zombies could float up, or your boat could hit them and damage itself. Also, be well stocked with supplies. And last but not least, know your waterways and never ever drop your anchor and fall asleep. A zombie could climb up it and attack.
