Let's try to find some water, if possible. Then a place to rest.

Most of the conversation was drowned out by the need to reach the Dam. Michael checked the magazine in the rifle and made sure it was good to go, then saddled himself up, readying for a trek.

Michael Moen: I, had just looked at old maps of this place. There's, uhh.. water purification plant near the Dam which pumped drinking water to the city. It might still be in good condition.

Yay the Italics bug is gone! I should try to format this right.

Jackson Hook: Purification plant it is. Watch your step.

After around two and a half hours of walking, you near the shores of the lake (which your PIP-MiCs promptly label "Lake Alexander") and see a deserted-looking town looming just ahead of you. Numerous severed body parts impaled on pikes line the approach to the settlement, and there are plenty of other bodies - many of them still clutching firearms, with spent ammunition casings nearby - scattered across the plain. None of the bodies show signs of decomposition yet.

Your PIP-MiCos label this spot as "Crescent Brooks Resort". No dots, hostile or otherwise, appear on the devices' AMS.

LOL thanks for the name, Daniel! I like it! And maybe Troy Alexander (or Alexander Troy) was the first president of Acadia so they named them that. Razz

I don't have a good feeling about this place.

I limped off the main path and bent over to inspect one of the nearby bodies.

Pip van Buren: What could have possibly caused all this... slaughter?

George Edwards: Hello, don't move yes that is a pistol cocked and at your head. What your looking at is a member of the platoon that was just slaughtered in a battle. Now then who are you? You certainly look scared. Strange accents you have.

George Edwards: What am I doing here, more to say what are you doing here, this is a battlefield and I have just watched a scouting party of my faction which I am part of and they were killed by a local superior force. I was merely spectating. Now why are you on my battlefield?

Pip van Buren: I started trying to get to my feet. "You know, I almost forgot," I said. "Me, I'm pretty much crippled and can't move very fast. I'm not an expert gunslinger or anything like that; heck, I can barely fix a bandage to save my life! But if there's one thing I do know..." I pulled myself up and gestured to the group behind me, "it's that I have friends who will fight to save my life if you pull that trigger. You're outnumbered. Now, if you'll kindly put that pistol down, we can talk this over like the civilized people that I'm sure we both are."

Pip van Buren: Alright, so do you have any explanations for us? We've just come from that Vault up on Andrews' Ridge. And we are definitely not trespassing - we're just trying to get to that dam at the other end of the lake.

George Edwards: well that mine up there was a hostile encampment until very recently. How did you live in there, it is very interesting how you don't know who i am. That dam is part of the border and if you think you are going anywhere well you are my prisoners now.
