So, the Observer Land Rights Amendment passed after a very long time in the assembly. I personally meant to withdraw or alter my own proposal but went on one of my long periods of inactivity shortly after proposing it and frankly forgot about it. So, I propose a partial repeal to remove the part of the law that would require a change for some Observers. The first part of the amendment already has become the general procedure despite not being law. That can be left to ensure the right of Observers to land. This repeal would only remove the portion in bold below.

v. Observatory Members shall have the opportunity to select a parcel of land on Adonia, if they so choose. This parcel of land shall not be larger in area than the smallest ambassadorial member.

And that's about it. This is just common sense. Hopefully this can get pushed through pretty quick so it doesn't affect anyone.

I'd still add to the amendment that Observers choose, "A small scale nation in regards to it's size on the world." This way you can get your general idea through but not put restrictions on anyone.

Definitely yes. With or without Mike's addition is fine.

Since this has been idle for over a month now, I would like to withdrawal this proposal.

Can I re-submit it, then? I like the idea a lot. D:

I'll have to restate the urgency of my addition due to the fact that, without it, if an Ambassador choose a small nation, like an island, then what will the Observer be left with?

I think we need to have a larger debate about how we handle Observers, the current model is kind of skewed so that it isn't very beneficial to us. I see how we do this now as part of the problem, since other unions don't take observers we get the short stick.

I would agree, but Mike is right, what if a member choose a really small island, than that observer would be left with something smaller, which wouldn't be as appealing.

I think what we should do is to get tougher Observership Applications Razz

Since Observerships have been removed by the USNW, this topic is redundant.

I think I should put this to Redundant and move it to declined Laws.
