1 Election Central! on Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:31 am

Socialist:

Name: Michael V. Versani
Age: 58
Born: Vistock, Valium North
Campaign Issues: Health, Education, Foreign relations.

Mr. Versani believes that strength and unity can only be achieved within. He proposes cutting down on military spending as well as spending on other departments he deems as not necessary. He also proposes increasing tax rates depending on wealth level. The increases can be seen as up to 3% across the board for each tax tier. He believes in reinvesting that money into government controlled education, health and other essential services. He also proposes increasing the budgets of these services by up to 200%. Mr. Versani also believes that in order to maintain peace and prosperity, he must dismantle the department of Special weapons and decommission all nuclear, biological, and toxic weapons. He believes in maintaining open borders and forging newer and stronger relations with the nations of world.

Republican:

Name: Thomas A. Louvi’er
Age: 42
Born: Foranda, Li’ons
Campaign Issues: Military, Industry, Economy.

Mr. Louvi’er believes in increasing, rather than decreasing, military spending. He is especially keen on increasing the stock pile of weapons that Marqualis has, regardless of the foreign pressure it is facing. He also believes in selling some weaponry in order to finance the Department of Military research. Mr. Louvi’er has also stated that he is willing to remove most red tape that is plaguing the military industrial complex. Of course, he won’t be breaking any laws in doing so. He also believes in doing the same for industry to increase industrial output. By also cutting taxes as well as increasing spending into the economy, he believes that this will drive Marqualis to become the most powerful nation both economically and militarily. When it comes to foreign policy, Mr. Louvi’er takes a cautious approach, only forging alliances and strong trading between those he sees as benefiting though he allows trading with all nations.

Democratic:

Name: Fredrick I. Jergen
Age: 47
Born: Arcis, Arcis
Campaign Issues: Health, Education, Military, Foreign relations.

Mr. Jergen believes in maintaining the current situation of Marqualis, stating that everything has been going well under the current direction and will continue to do so. However he has stated that he would like to increase government spending on essential services and the military industrial complex. Although there are no plans to dismantle the stockpile of weapons that the nations has, he plans on halting production on more and maintaining the current levels. He plans to fund his ambitions by raising taxes, just like his counterpart and by also increasing industrial output. His stance on foreign relations is somewhat balanced. He believes in opening up Marqualis borders to allow easier access to the country but at the same time to put in place regulations to protect the people.

Liberal:

Name: Richard M. Kiver
Age: 51
Born: Nirvella, Arcis
Campaign Issues: Environment, Health/Education, Foreign policy.

Dr. Kiver believes in removing all environmental laws and legislation that effects industry. He believes this would increase industrial output and help strengthen the economy. Also, he would like to abolish the department of environmental protection and the ministry of environment and use that money to give big industry a tax break. He believes the future of energy still belongs to fossil fuels and not “hippies”. The biggest goal for him is the complete privatization of all government run services and companies by handing it off to private companies. He believes Marqualis can achieve better health and better education if it was handed over to companies that specialize in this industry. He believes in closing all borders to travelers outside of Marqualis but would like trade to increase with every nation and is willing to do anything to achieve that.

Communist:

Name: Kevin G. Choung
Age: 63
Born: Hyvia, Gurva
Campaign Issues: Economy, Industry, Government.

Dr. Choung believes in the complete control and watch of the economy by the government. He hopes to achieve this by allowing the government to control all major industry, including finance and tourism to name a few. He wants the industry to also be heavily regulated and run by the state for the state. This is in hopes to drive down prices making it affordable for everyone. Dr. Choung also would like to make taxes the same and limit the amount of wealth a person can have based on the size of the family making everyone equal. He also believes in reforming the constitution and rewriting it so that it fits his own government. This would help push his agenda further and abolish some party opposition.

Green Party:

Name: Stephanie O. Skervinia
Age: 36
Born: Geneva, New Guiyva
Campaign Issues: Environment, Industry, Energy.

Mrs. Skervinia is the typical environmentalists’ in that she believes in greening up Marqualis by banning polluting sources of industry and energy. She hopes to close down all coal and oil power plants and switch to solar and wind power. She is also willing to tax dirty industry heavily and put economic regulations on them to make them reduce pollution output or face closure. This is in hopes to make Marqualis a leader in green living but also to improve the environment and the lives of the citizens.

Boo socialist. Sad

Go republican! Thomas A. Louvi’er is the right guy! (The socialist and communist parties are both banned from government in Acadia, but Liberal is turning into socialist)

Lol. It's not like a socialist would even run for office in Acadia, anyway. We're extremely conservative here.

Well I would endorse the Socialist candidate, but my second choice would be Ms. Skervinia there.

I'm guessing Shayden's either Democratic or Socialist. Folland doesn't really have a set official political party. We're a bit of a Socialist and Liberal Democracy really.

Ying: That would be either the democratic party or the socialist party. I'd say it's more socialist than democratic, but you can decide that yourself. Razz
